La Famiglia Northampton — Restaurant in England

Always struggled to find a good dining experience in Northampton, and for some strange reason this was our first visit to this fabulous restaurant.

Firstly, the customer service experience was first class, we really felt looked after…one of the first restaurants I've been to in a long time where they really and truly wanted to understand your feedback on the food. The quality of the food was superb, generous portions with a huge amount of effort in driving individuality and flavours… very impressive.

The other interesting aspect of the entertainment experience was the entertainment, whereby the restaurant manager doubled up as a singer. Now, let me be very clear, the first thing that came into my mind was OMG it's going to be a karaoke experience - but let me tell you, he had the voice of an angel and probably belonged on stage in Las Vegas! The one element of personal feedback is that I would have loved to hear more stuff from the Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra era… and no, I am not stuffy old git - but that is just really in keeping with the restaurant atmosphere and style, plus he sang them so so well. The only other piece of feedback I would offer, is that whilst the live music isn't playing... The background music is turned down a notch or 2… not a lot, just a bit.

This will become a regular venue for us no doubt - so if you're looking for great food in a restaurant which is beautifully styled with good entertainment and service look no...

Unfortunately we had a bad dining experience last night...after waiting nearly 50 minutes for food despite being the only group in the restaurant, 2 of our 5 meals were inedible. We think there was an extremely excessive amount of salt, and maybe garlic salt, in the meals, after 2 mouthfuls we both felt nauseous and a burning sensation in our throats. The food was very very very salty and inedible - and I eat anything!

Our waitress did not ask about allergies, one of our group has a severe crustacean allergy and when we were offered complintary hors d'oeuvres due to the food delay, enquired to the waitress whether they contained shellfish, she said she didn't know and would ask but did not return to give answer....we were the only group in the restaurant still at this point.

The manager did offer to replace the inedible meals but we were on a theatre deadline. A really disappointing visit to this restaurant (a bithday celebration too, so really a shame) we had high hopes due to all the 5 star reviews but unfortunately it was not a good dining experience.

We had a fantastic experience at La Famiglia in Northampton last night. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The live musicians added a delightful touch to the evening, enhancing the overall ambience. The sound of the music is also at extremely high standards. Now, if it is to talk about the food – it was nothing short of exceptional! Every dish was a culinary delight, and I particularly enjoyed the salmon dish. However, as we have booked tickets for the entrance as an special guest was invited (Valentin Uzun), the food was included. We've been served with delicious and mouth-watering Mediterranean salad, green olives, starter platters and main menu. From start to finish, La Famiglia exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience/party/anniversaries/weddings/christening etc The parking is free after 7pm daily at surroundings, although if you are visiting earlier than that, there are plenty of pay and display parkings close by, as the location is in the heart of the...
