When we first went to Le Sorelle we were blown away by the food quality. It was absolutely delightful. Being from blackpool it was added as a firm favorite for us to visit on a regular basis. After a couple of visits that were great we started to experience issues. We would order a takeaway but to collect at a certain time with plenty of notice. We would arrive and then end up waiting 15 minutes or more for the food despite ordering 40 minutes to an hour in advance. The restaurant is tiny and there is nowhere to sit and wait and virtually nowhere to stand either so you are left stood next to people's tables where they are eating feeling very uncomfortable. Your told food will be 5 minutes and another 10 minutes pass by and it still doesn't arrive. It seems very chaotic. This has happened to us twice. Then we decided to opt for home delivery to save the embarrassment of waiting in the restaurant. This went well but on this occasion the food was not to the usual standard. Lumps of uncooked garlic found in the pasta, garlic bread over cooked. Hardly any salmon in the salmon penne. Portions of dessert expensive but small. We didnt complain as It was just another issue we encountered and decided to leave it for a while. Then instead of ordering food I popped in to collect some fudge cakes for our dessert after a family meal one evening. The fudge cake there was always lovely and this was something that didn't need to be cooked so knew there would not be ridiculous waiting around. After ordering three portions at £5.00 each to takeaway i noticed the bag felt rather light but didn't think too much of it. Until I got home and opened them after dinner! Not only were they not the normal fudge cake they serve, they were so small and so dry and so pointless I cannot believe I was charged £15 for the three of them. It was scandalous. This was the final straw for us. Such a great find turned into somewhere we won't be returning. We don't hesitate to pay more for good food but to pay £15.00 for three bite size pieces of dry and quite frankly awful so called chocolate fudge cake is not acceptable....
Read moreWe visited this restaurant recently and, unfortunately, our experience was far from relaxing. When we arrived, there was a large group of 15 loud men occupying most of the space, leaving only two smaller tables of four. We were at one of those, and due to the lack of any sound absorption, the noise level was overwhelming, we could hardly hear ourselves think. Ordering drinks was a challenge. I was told Sauvignon Blanc wasn’t available by the glass, and while they eventually opened a bottle for me, it was done so reluctantly. The Prosecco served to us was flat and had to be returned. The food itself was good, but the service was disappointing throughout. Staff seemed disengaged and inattentive. The noise didn’t end with the large group leaving as staff were loudly banging the coffee machine all night even when all other guests had left so I presume they were cleaning it. It was particularly frustrating as it was the first moment we could actually hear ourselves speak. To make matters worse, they began noisily scraping chairs and tables across the floor to reset the room, breaking down the large table. It was intrusive and made us feel like we were in the way and wanting us to leave, rather than paying guests. When we asked for the bill, the lady laughed and continued her conversation with a staff member, before then acknowledging us. We felt like we were on stitch up, it was laughable! We left without so much as a thank you or goodbye. It felt like we were an afterthought. Sadly, despite the quality of the food, the overall experience was unpleasant. We won’t...
Read moreOrdered through just eat. Was slightly late arriving but rang the restaurant and they were running late with it being valentines night, which wasn’t a problem. The food arrived and it was warm , the lasagne was super nice and tasty really liked the sauce and cheese they used. Wasn’t too keen on the fries they were a bit soggy. Liked the pasta and the garlic bread but wasn’t a massive fan of one of my favourite snack dishes - bruschetta - as advertised on the pic on just eat looked really nice, what came was 3 pieces of crusty bread, no balsamic vinegar , no rocket or onion and a box of cut up tomatoes with some herbs on. Was quite disappointed with that however I imagine this was probably down to it being busy and ordering online. Would try again probably in person if we are around that area. Was good though and staff friendly...
