Farmers Arms — Restaurant in England

We went to the Farmers Arms on Lytham Road in Blackpool because we had a Groupon voucher to use. We found the pub relatively easily by following Google Maps. When we arrived at the pub, we thought it was going to be really busy because nearly every seat in the beer garden was taken! We were then pleasantly surprised to find that there was hardly anyone inside and there was plenty of seats to be had! Stevie went to the bar to order our food and drinks. He came back with two pints of Carling, which were freezing, always a good sign on a hot day! We had a prepaid Groupon voucher for lunch of a Burger and a drink. We ordered our meal at the bar and sat down. We weren't expecting much, after all, it's a cheese burger in a pub! We were soooo wrong! Our meal was delivered to us by the person who cooked it and it looked amazing. The burger smelled amazing, and tasted amazing too. The fries were served in a wee bucket and happened to be the crispiest chips I have ever tasted, and they were still fluffy on the inside! Awful experience. We pre booked a table for 9 people 2 weeks in advance to ensure the restaurant had time to prepare for a large table. When we stepped through the door we were told “we don’t have much food left”. This is unacceptable for a pub serving food and an awful start to the family trip! We then were given a limited choice of what they did have and had to a pick from 4 food choices!. It is unprofessional and dissapointing and this should not be how customers are treated. When the food arrived the presentation was so poor and the food was dry and tasteless, the lasagne had been blasted too long in the microwave so was rather crispy, it was clear no care was taken by the kitchen team! We then asked to use our blue light discount and was told that was not possible for some unknown reason and to top it off they could not accept £50 notes!! Will not be returning and 100% do...

Hi I would just like to thank the staff and manger and kitchen staff for an amazing few weeks you have gone above and beyond. . I have watched every game with my daughter over the last few weeks the atmosphere was brilliant.The sevice at the bar was also brilliant we didn't have to wait long to get severed at all even though the pub was busy we were severalin no time. .The staff at the bar were attentive friendly and efficient. The kitchen staff were friendly and also asked if our meals were ok and if we needed anythng else.When we ordered food although it was busy we were severed In no time and really enjoyed it..Every credit team farmers we have loved it.
