Leigh Tandoori — Restaurant in England

I've had a takeaway from here a couple of times since I move to the area and it's been OK but nothing to write home about but this evening it was awful...biryani was tasteless with over cooked stodgy rice, accompanying vegetable curry was very watery with little veg apart from a couple of potatoes, half a dozen peas and one green bean, I think there might have been a carrot too. Puppadom was broken into about 50 small pieces and the keema naan looked like it had been in a car crash, mangled with all the filling sitting loose in the bottom of the bag. Probably not going to order from here again. Shame really as its opposite my house. I should also say that there were only two tables dining in and both had already gotten their food. So no excuses. EDIT...The morning after wasn't pretty...definitely never buying food from here again, they must have some serious food safety issues in their kitchen. The EHO need to pay...

It was my first visit after multiple recommendations from friends. Probably one of, if not the best, Indian restaurants in the Leigh/Southend area.

The menu has a wide selection, with some exciting house specials and lesser-seen dishes if you're up for something new.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming, I couldn't fault the service. It was efficient, and waiters were happy to talk about the food with you.

It was a lovely evening in a pleasant atmosphere with friends. Large tables for groups but also small booth tables for a low-key and quieter dining experience. I look forward to...

Ate here this evening was very disappointed overall. First of all my drink was flat . Asked the waiter a question and got attitude in return. Couldnt keep all the meal warm as they dont use table heaters and gavent for quite some time so whilst wating the food we already had on our plates , had we wanted anymore it was cold. Then we ordered coffee . My friend ordered a white coffee and i ordered a floater . Both coffees when delivered were cold and when we complained we were told " the machine makes it " . Definitely wouldnt recommend and i wont be...
