OUTSTANDING!!!! 🏆💯👌 I visted here last night with my sister and mum and 2 babies. My child was hysterical crying as soon as we walked in as she woke up mid cycle from her sleep in the car. The whole restaurant turned around and looked at us as she was crying but ADAL in full black smartwear and young smart KATIE IMMEDIATELY made us feel warm and very welcome and gave us the option to chose our seat to achieve ease for my hysterical daughter. (Table of 4 young lads left the restaurant as soon as I sat down due to my unsettled baby who needed a few minutes. They came in just before us so I felt bad that Efes lost some customers) but despite this KATIE and ADAL were exceptional. Katie was kind, professional, very helpful with beautiful manners. It was her 2nd week I think she said or 2nd shift, but what an outstanding young lady she is, she will go very far in life with her attitude and willingness to provide the best possible experience for her customers and her colleagues, as I'm a big advocate for how you do anything in life is how you do everything in life. She was fantastic and I was very grateful for how she kindly brought over a little apple juice for my daughter as a gesture of kindness. Thank you truly ❤️💯 ADAL the manager was absolutely outstanding. What a gentleman he was, he was consistently warm and welcoming, very efficient in his communication and had most beautiful manners. He maintained a great environment and maintained a beautiful atmosphere with his presence and efforts to ensure we had the best experience. He was extremely efficient and extremely helpful. He has fantastic interpersonal skills and great rapport with his customers and team. Nothing but complete EXCELLENCE from this man and his whole team for that matter. 👏🏆

We got 3 mixed grills and what value for money it was! Every piece of meat was tender, succulent and juicy straight of the charcoal grill. Beautifully presented and in a very timely manner. I highly recommend this dish, excellent value for money and 10/10 on every single aspect. Compliments to the chefs. 👌🫡

You can see the chefs in their uniforms cooking at the back and it's very obvious how established and focused they are in their field. Just wow. 👌 Adal said they just had new systems installed and new equipment straight from Turkey to allow a better experience in every capacity for customers. He was spot on. He brought over some sturdy boxes to take the food home that I didn't finish and we concluded the night happy that we had the best experience and best food with the best team possible in the most beautiful environment.

Overall I was extremely grateful and extremely impressed with every single effort from Adal, Katie, and the WHOLE TEAM that was present last night. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT, I visit a lot of restaurants especially Turkish ones up and down the North East and up and down the country and Efes in Middlesbrough, is in the Top 3 without a doubt for all the reasons I stated above.

so f I come to Efe roughly 7 times now and hurt me to say this was such a let down this time, as the other 6 times its been brilliant. So five of us went to Efe the restaurant was pretty empty just a few tables taken up, instead of sitting us on a bigger table where you had 6 to 8 chairs, they put us on a table for 4 and just put an extra chair there. First we assumed they might have big parties coming but sadly no big times came in the time we were there, we were there for over 2 hours.

The Service was slow, but I can't disrespect service staff as they didn't have good leadership to guide them. They did their best, sad to say they look very nervous and it was a lot of back and forth when it came to explaining what we wanted. But not their fault as stated they really needed leadership.

The food took forever to come out, roughly 45mins upto an hour before we got our starters, but main did come quick after. The food was okay, it has been better in the past but that could be to a number of things. What was the leadership like in the kitchen?

I definitely want to give this place a chance and yes my comment could be seen as harsh but I hope its seen as constructive criticism.

The food wasn't that bad but has been better, the service was slow but just need more leadership. And please never put 5 people on a table...

We came to Efe’s today and immediately noticed some changes in the decoration that gave an even more open and friendly feel to the place. We were offered dates to break our fast and felt very welcomed and cared for - the customer service from beginning to end (from all the staff) was 10/10.

We began with some warming and beautiful lentil soup accompanied with some freshly baked bread and some garlic prawns which were seasoned to perfection. After finishing them off we then tried the mixed grill. We believe a mixed grill can really show the quality of a restaurant. I can tell you, it was stunning! Turkish flavours can sometimes be a little too subtle and light for my liking but the spices used in today’s mixed grill were delicately balanced whilst also packing flavour - each element with its own distinguishable taste (as someone who personally isn’t a fan of lamb, I think I nearly finished the whole kebab)!
