The food is usually very good here, the budae jjigae is my go to dish.. I travel from West Yorkshire just to eat here, and today was my worst experience here… not so much the food but the service! Whilst eating my stew dish I noticed a black strand of hair, I pointed this out to my partner who called over the waitress, she saw it and apologised and took the bowl away and returned stating the chef was cooking a new dish for me.. I was chatting to my partner when a member of staff from the kitchen came to the table, she had a white napkin and showed us this long strand of black hair, she claimed no one in the kitchen had black hair and it couldn’t have possibly come from them…. So I guess she was trying to blame us for the hair, my hair is dyed light brown and my partner has short hair… she said it ok as they were cooking a new dish but kept repeating the hair wasn’t from the staff. She left and both me and my partner were left speechless.. I don’t understand why she approached us? Was it to defend her staff members? Was it to say she thinks we put the hair in the stew? I really don’t know. Like I said, I like the stew and hadn’t eaten much of the first bowl so I had nothing to gain by getting a new bowl of stew? I didn’t ask for discount or for free food so really don’t understand why she would do this and make us feel guilty/rubbish by saying we did this!!! To make matters worse, the second dish came and the ramen noodles weren’t cooked enough, it was more harder than al dente pasta… but I didn’t want to further antagonise the staff so ate the meat/stew part… it’s not often that I leave reviews but felt on this occasion it warranted it, I would have thought that after your customer has an issue that you would check back to ensure everything is now ok? But no, this didn’t happen… how anyone can confront or blame a customer like that is beyond me.. the kitchen staff member didn’t offer an apology but just played the blame game and pointed it at us!! needless to say I won’t be travelling here to eat in the future, which is a shame as the food is very good, today’s issues made the visit uncomfortable, we couldn’t really enjoy our food after this, the meal fell flat which is why the...

Read moreToday we came to eat and were very disappointed, even though we’ve dined here more than ten times before. The food was still delicious as usual, but I had ordered Korean fried chicken, and while we were eating, one piece was cold. We called a staff member over to mention it, and the chef came out to speak with me. I told him about the issue, but instead of apologizing, he showed an attitude and took out a thermometer to measure the temperature. I also told him that if he didn’t believe me, he could try touching it himself, and he told me the sauce was the reason it felt cold.
But the reason we could clearly feel that it was cold was because there were seven pieces of chicken, and all the other pieces were warm and hot—none of them were cold at all except that one piece.
I only wanted to point it out so the kitchen wouldn't make this mistake again—we didn’t expect any compensation for the meal or anything like that. But we were very disappointed with the way they handled...
