I've had really good expierience with food there few years ago, lovely food every time, amazing apple cake with ice cream. Lately a lot changed sadly, there's other people managing this place I think, the atmosphere is still ok, ladies are nice, it's good service, but the food not so much anymore, the famous crepes we're better before, but the most amazing was apple cake they used to make, the one they do now is a tart, a really small portion, flat , barely any apples , quality of coffee changed too, and today I ordered avocado on toast, I was surprised on how bad it was,( tons of salt and possibly lemon juice, I'm not too sure), I didn't make a big problem out of that, the lady was really nice, she gave me a cheese toast instead which I asked for, no problem. I'm writing this review just to show my experience and for the cook to maybe look into the recipes, I'm no expert on food, but I do cook myself and I ate in this place several times and I am really sad that the food had changed so much. I will visit the place again, but they should definetly do something about the food, and one more very important thing, a level of cleanliness is questionable, the places around tables where people eat could use more attention ❤️

I recently placed a takeout order consisting of two sandwiches and a jacket potato, totaling £21. While the service and atmosphere were excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, I was unfortunately disappointed with the food quality. After placing and paying for my order, I was informed that the sourdough bread for the club sandwich was unavailable. While I understand these things can happen, it was a bit disappointing. The club sandwich itself was just okay. The chicken was overcooked and quite tough. The jacket potato, unfortunately, was not edible as it was undercooked and very firm. The ham and cheese sandwich was very overpriced for what it was and when went to eat it discovered it had mold on the bread. I was genuinely looking forward to trying the food, so it's disappointing that the experience didn’t meet expectations. That said, I truly appreciated the friendly service and hope this feedback is helpful.

The café looks very cozy and inviting from the outside, with a décor that suggests someone once cared about creating a welcoming space. However, it now feels like it’s run by people who don’t care anymore. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, with staff being curt and seemingly uninterested—getting a smile felt like asking too much. There’s no WiFi or restroom facilities, which was inconvenient. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal not to have toilets when there are more than 10 seats. The food was bland and lacked flavor, and the coffee was presented in a messy, unappetizing way. My recommendation? Skip this place and head across the street instead—there’s a much nicer spot where you can enjoy a great lunch with better service and atmosphere.

Today was the second time going to cafe creperie for breakfast.

We came in, ordered and sat down. We noticed there was an elderly man sat on the next table.

Our breakfasts came out… soon after this, we overheard the elderly gentleman ask where his breakfast he ordered was. Which was fair, considering even we arrived and ordered after him, yet ours was served before his.

He was mainly concerned as he said he had a taxi booked, and needed to leave very soon. The staff response was “it will be ready when it’s ready”. We can’t make it any quicker “. The girl with the extravagant eye make up then told “Steve”, who replied “well it would be a lot quicker if it didn’t smell like urine”, aimed at embarrassing the man.

I spoke up as I found their treatment of this man disgusting. To which their response was “you don’t see how he speaks to us”. The thing is, I did. And he was politely asking them questions to which they rudely responded.

It’s no way to treat people, let alone an elderly man who likely has dementia and is struggling to understand what’s going on. And that for me is enough to never go back.

The staff are absolutely disgusting and shouldn’t be in customer facing jobs with their attitude. And while I’m here, the food was...

We have been coming here since December quite often, the first few times we had the Skandanaviene was delicious, then afterwards, from January, we noticed that the quality of food went downhill. We always get the same order so we know what it usually tastes like. But when we came back after New Years, the Skandanaviene didn't taste normal, the sauce tasted like it was out of date. Made a complaint about this then got free food. We came back today, and the service was appalling. The presentation of food wasn't great as it seemed like they didn;t care. We got the skandanaviene again, but this time we found hair inside the food. Went to make a complaint and the women who serves the food, rolled her eyes at me and was quite rude. I then made the complaint to the cook (Kate) and she literally sighed at us which I found very rude! She tried to insist that it was an eyelash inside the food, she then insisted it was fine and that we can still eat it. Whether it's a hair or an eyelash this does not matter! It's still unhygenenic and no one should be expected to eat something where there is hair! Anyway, she swapped the plate and gave us a new one, but in a rude way where she huffed and rolled her eye. Won't be...
