M&S Café — Restaurant in England

Lovely staff, limited breakfast menu. I’ve been twice in the last few days and had the same thing, toast with avocado, bacon and poached eggs. Both times the bacon tastes great but lukewarm, avocado very sludgy but tasty, poached egg, slightly overdone for me but again lukewarm warm, toast barely toasted therefore just dry bread really. The staff are very helpful but very slow. The staff on the till were new and obviously needed more support than they were getting. One of our hot drinks was missed off the order, but they did give us that for free. It took 25 minutes to heat up a toasty. The food was nice though. One aside, there's a lot of plastic packaging on a sandwich for a company that claims there's no plan B for the environment. Corporate greenwashing...

We did not have to wait long to order. I was travelling with one child and a senior but after 30min no food had come out. I just went over to ask how long they thought it might be and they were like oh sorry we've sold out. Completely unacceptable to leave people sitting and waiting when no food was every going to come out. They then tried to refund onto a gift card which I would not accept. Can't recommend after...
