We ordered meals in which we ordered and had to wait 40 minutes for. Eventually when the meals arrived they came cold and with the wrong sides. We then politely enquired about the two missing sides twice as well as as a portion of birria sauce that was missing from a burger, we were initially told it apparently had gluten in it and that becauae the meal ordered was on the gluten free menu they had left the birria sauce off. But if you look on the gluten free menu both online and in the restaurant it does say with a side of birria sauce. The waitress then came back saying it actually contains dairy which wasn't even what we enquired about... birria sauce typically dairy free so I assume this is a blatant lie.
When we finally recieved the missing sides (sweet potato fries and hash browns) the mains had gone cold and the sides turned up rushed and barely cooked. We know this as another member of our group ordered sweet potato fries and they were nice and crispy and to a satisfactory standard. The missing ones turned up soggy and dripping in grease.
One member of our group then ordered dessert (churros) and after a 15 minute wait we politetly enquired how long they would be, we were told 2 minutes by the waiting staff and waited a further 25 minutes and they still didn't turn up. Meanwhile the kitchen staff were laughing loudly outside of the kitchen and lazing about, which felt like salt in the wound. At this point I politely approached the manager of the establishement and left my feedback and thoughts and politely told him I'd been waiting a very long time for some churros and that our experience as a whole had been quite unsatisfactory, he did refund the price of the churros but in honesty I felt like he couldn't care less and was looking at me with some degree of disdain.
Approximately £125 spent between four of us on food and drinks and we were made to feel like we were a problem and they just wanted us out of the door ASAP.
I don't like to leave a negative review and if I have an issue I will always try to politely let my thoughts and feelings be known at the establishment and if an issue is addressed I will happily leave 5*. But the staff here couldn't care less.
Despite having decent allergy filters on website, the restaurant didnt have physical allergy data files on hand listing seperate ingredients of meals with allergens/intolerances. Or if they did we weren't made aware.
Very expensive for the meals and service provided, it says a lot when we all said we wish we'd have gone to a fast food chain in monks cross instead. 😔
Apologies for a negative review but our problems weren't...
Read more**'As promised in my original review I returned with hubby and my daughter (who is Ceoliac). Wow!! My 19 year old daughter absolutely loved their fully Gluten Free menu! Soo much choice for her which is rare in a lot of restaurants. A lovely warm welcome by the same lady manager as last time. Was amazing with my 19 year old and her requirements. She said she personally would take the order and bring the food over. It arrived with a little allergy flag in it too!
The other food we had was also exceptional! This is definitely going to be a 'go to place' for us as a family and my daughter with her friends. We all felt very comfortable.

**Our first visit here today and we loved it! A lovely warm welcome from both of the staff as we arrived at 9am for breakfast. The place was empty but people soon started to arrive. Lovely atmosphere, very tasty food. I loved the decor. Lots to look at all over the restaurant. Definitely caters well for children. Lots of toys, offered a colouring sheet too! My daughter wanted the pancakes but it came with banana which she's not keen on. The lady offered to swap it for syrup which my daughter loved!
We will definitely be returning with my older daughter too. She found out very recently that she's not able to eat gluten (Ceoliac Disease). Sent her the amazing gluten free menu whilst we were there and she's super happy she has a full menu to decide from! Just a lovely touch that places do cater for the gluten free for medical reasons! Cannot wait to return with hubby and GF daughter to show how impressed we were with the restaurant, the service and most importantly the food!
A HUGE thank you to all involved in our visit today. We will very...
Read moreWe arrived for my birthday with high hopes...wow were we dissapointed. Got a lovely greeting off one of the floor staff who told us to order at the bar. We walked over to the bar to be ignored for about 5 mins from bartender. All we saw was the too of his head..no " i will be a minute or hello" he stood right in front of us at one point. When he was finished he stood infront of till and looked at us so we wernt sure what to so, we think he wanted us to go to him....so we did ....it was an awkward interaction at best.. we ordered 2 wines and 2 steak frittes...soulless interaction. We went to sit outside in your area which was full of dirty glasses on 5 tables we cleared one and sat down.. waiting for our 2 x med rare £20 steaks... well they arrived..the salad was flat and old, no dressing, the steaks were well done , not been rested at all and that's been kind...we went and informed the team..the manager came out we explained, she agreed and went to kitchen, came back and you were out of steaks, she offered to run to M and S and get us some but we had the cinema booked in an hour and on Account of how long we had waited and the state of the food and condiments on the tables (fly in vinegar and dirty sauce bottles) we decided to get a refund. I mentioned to the manager not to worry it always happens on my birthday and she just shrugged and told us to come in and order at.the bar. We.got a refund and won't be back. Also only one cubical in loo had loo roll but had been signed as checked 10 mins before ??? I ran hospitality business for M and B for 20 years and am now a venure owner. We will...
