Makkie's pizza — Restaurant in England

Called ahead for a takeout order and was told they were not accepting takeout orders because the dining room was too full. Decided to make a reservation to eat in. After a 25 minute drive to arrive there, we see the dining room is practically empty (1 table) so asked if we could place a takeout order and they said yes. At this point we'd have to waste another 20+ minutes waiting for the order to be ready! There was only 1 lady making the food (owner/manager) and the other 3 standing around. We wanted to order a spaghetti to take away but were told they don't do it, even though it is clearly marked on the takeaway menu. So we ordered 4 pizzas. One pepperoni with mushroom and they forgot the pepperoni. 2 others were fine. 4th was vegetarian with no cheese and veggies were raw. This place seemed like a beginner's staff, no experience, unable to handle multiple orders on a Friday night in the middle of summer! They offered £1 off due to forgotten pepperoni but I took a free can of 7up instead. And had to ask for the 2 other drinks we ordered. No professionalism and no customer service. Pizzas were tasty at least, but I would not recommend going here at all! Find another...

As a family of four, we came in when only a few people were already in the restaurant. We ordered drinks which came up smaller than expected and were not as well described on the menu as they could have been (ie. whether in a small, medium or large glass or other sizing). Then once we ordered, the service was very slow with very little communication as to the status of the meals nor attentiveness throughout. After a long waiting period, we had to ask for an update and eventhough the staff and chef were no distance apart they could not provide an estimated time of serving and gave us a poor reply regardless. However, eventually when the food came up, it was delicious aside from the blue cheese salad which caused one of our family to feel very unwell to the point of nearly being sick. I hope that this is an isolated case but we will not be returning after...

Do not recommend! Came to eat here as we enjoyed it before, however the whole experience was terrible this time. The waitress was reluctant to let us sit in and eat, didn't provide menus and instead asked "what you want, pizza?". She also had her young child with her, who instantly come to our table and pushed my belongings off the chair so he could sit with us. He then was walking all over the tables and she was running around after him trying to feed him spaghetti. We were the only people in there which made the whole thing really uncomfortable, it felt more like we were in their living room. The food was nice, but doesn't make up for the fact that everything else was horrible. Also find it so disgusting that the waitress had no shoes on and was walking around in grubby socks...
