Manzil Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Unfortunately, quite mediocre. Table of 5, all currys were very similar in taste and also spicy heat (bearing in mind we had a range from butter chicken to madras). All dishes were very underseasoned which was strange for an Indians, although salt and pepper was on the table (the first time I've seen that in an Indians too, and perhaps due to people requesting it frequently). Indian beers served in Carling glasses (not too fussed about that, but it's the details). I would say that their poppadoms and chutneys were very nice, as were the Tia Maria coffees. But the main event is the curry, and they were a bit of a let down. The service was also a hit 'heavy', items were sometimes slung down on the table which was unnecessary and unpleasant when you're trying to have a relaxing evening. We went here due to receiving a gift card, but now that's used I doubt we'll be back anytime soon as there are other excellent Indian restaurants and takeaways nearby (e.g. Stannington to sit, Stakeford...

Went along as our friends wanted to go here. I've never had a good meal here although others seem to love it! Only one other table in at 9pm on a Sunday evening. The chicken was dry and served to grow in my mouth. It felt like diced, preboiled chicken that you just add to sauce as you need a portion. The saag aloo was overly spicy so I couldn't even eat that. When for a collection takeaway tonight staff where very busy with new year day evening meals but they give everyone the time of day the staff have always been amazing however tonight food wasn't the best I bought a chicken korma with side their was hardly any chicken in the korma their was only about 4 pieces of chicken and the onion bhijijs where very oily and the meal was cold by the time we came to eating it yes I understand it was a collection but it to be as cold as it was by the time i came to eat it is was disgusting normal when I by a takeaway like this is...
