One of the very best local butchers, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I've been getting all our meat from there for 18 years. Even as staff and owners changed a few years ago it remains the best only now with more variety of flavours for sausages, bbq ribs etc. Their meat is always top quality and I can't really single out any one thing they do better than anything else though the bacon is world's better than any pack.

Time to add a little, simply to say that whilst the meat is as good as ever their pastry products are all very good and unsurprisingly, meaty! The Cornish pasties are my favourite and are far superior to those of larger organisations. Please don't ever close! Been going to Norman's on and off for over 25 years and no matter who's owned the shop in that time it's always been quality meat and service. The local eggs are a bargain and very fresh - they keep a good 3 weeks normally. I wish the new owner well and I look forward to the next 25 years shopping here. I went in today, 26th September 2025, and we have a new owner. Young fella called Nick. He's just bought the business. Today, I went to buy boereworse (South African spicy sausages). They had none in stock and appeared disinterested in my enquiries as to when they would make some more. The butchers appeared to different chaps from my previous visits, and just didn’t seem to care about their customer service. It’s a shame, as I have decided to find a new butcher...
