I usually avoid McDonalds like the plague because it's always awful. Today I was outvoted on where we're getting dinner at work, so time for the local McDonalds to do what no other has and change my mind.
"Is it eat in or take out?". Well, love, I'm sat in the drive through, so thought that's pretty obvious...In itself, not something I would pay much attention to. A slip of the tongue, habit, brain fart. Didn't realise she was setting the tone.
After every item I asked for "alright, to the window". No, I've not finished yet. "Yea yea yea, I got it, go to the window". Clearly, the rude cow hadn't "got it" because the guy at the window was missing half the order and parts of the other half were wrong.
So, updated my order with him. Informed him an item was missing (no surprise, it was my food item). "Yea yea, she's just said for you to pay for the rest now and we'll give it you in a minute". What, you're going to have me not pay for that item but give it me anyway, not showing up on my receipt but you'll put it in the bag? Sure, we'll see...By the way, can I have the receipt? "It'll be in the bag". Alright, noted.
Turns out the next window didn't know anything about this mysterious part of the meal I had asked for about 8 times now and hadn't paid for (shocking, I know). Queue the sitting around waiting for them to finish this order it had now taken 3 different people to try and deal with.
On the bright side, they didn't charge for my part of the meal, so I guess I did get it free. The receipt I specifically asked for, though? Not in the bag, so now the worksites dinner has come out of my pocket now I can't claim it back. Thanks.
Is it McDonalds policy to only hire the most stupid and inept people they can find? One person having a mess up? Fine, but minimum of three?
I shall continue to avoid McDonalds until I'm again voted out of going literally anywhere else. I just wanted a...
Read moreCrewe is fortunate to have a few McDonald's locations, catering to various needs, from quick drive-thru stops to a more central dine-in experience. Generally, you can expect the familiar McDonald's menu and service, but here's a brief, positive review of what you might find: "For those craving a quick and reliable bite in Crewe, McDonald's certainly delivers. With multiple locations around the town, including the well-established Macon Way and Dunwoody Way, plus the recently opened Market Centre site, there's usually a convenient option nearby. Whether you're popping in for a classic Big Mac, a satisfying breakfast McMuffin, or a refreshing milkshake, the consistent menu ensures you know exactly what you're getting. Many patrons appreciate the speed and efficiency, particularly at the drive-thru lanes, making it ideal for those on the go. The newer Market Centre location, being more central, offers a good option for town centre visitors, often boasting modern interiors and ample seating. Across the Crewe McDonald's branches, the staff are generally friendly and work hard to keep things moving, even during busy periods. It's a solid choice for an affordable, familiar, and quick meal, consistently providing that classic McDonald's...
Read moreI ordered a hot chocolate to take away along with other things. I decided to eat in. After eating my food (by the way, the chips were not fresh, they were not hot and I wondered where they had been kept) I decided to open my hot chocolate which looked like brown water. The kind when you wash your paint brush for the first time in a cup of water. I brought it back. The lid was removed, the lady looked at it and asked me "what is it?" I said, "exactly, what is it?" I told her its supposed to be hot chocolate. The lady said it must have run out and she brought to the person who must have made it. I heard her ask, did she bring it back? It makes me think that she thought because it was a take away, she could just make it anyhow as I'll be gone by the time I notice. You can't make a hot chocolate and miss how diluted this was. Another one was brought to me instead, it was better.
Lastly, I do think they need to review the process and hygiene levels in which they make burgers. When they review it, they need to ensure it is followed in order to keep up with McDonald's...
