Copy of email sent although removed personal name and details, awful service.
To whom it may concern
I hope youâre able to help me please. It has taken me a week to track down what I hope are the correct contact details due to as I understand it, Uppercrust having no head office.
Last Saturday morning, I arrived at Crewe train station just after 05.40hrs so imagine my delight at discovering the retail outlet was open from 6.00am.
As youâll see from the attached receipt, I ordered two sausage baguettes and a tea costing ÂŁ13.43.
The sales person didnât look like he wanted to be there, was unpleasant and put the baguettes in microwave and/or oven having turned it on. Unfortunately both baguettes were not fully warmed cooked through and I informed the sales person of this.
I asked him to reheat, which he refused. I told him I could get food poisoning and he laughed, so I dumped them in the bin.
Not only would I like a full refund ( I paid by card) please, but I want to know if this level of customer service meets your standards required and is acceptable?
In addition, I could report the outlet to the local council and request they take a visit on food hygiene. Iâve not done this yet
A refund is the least I should receive, perhaps complimentary vouchers to entice me back.
If anyone tries to contact me by phone and I canât answer, please leave a direct contact number for me to ring back on.
I look forward to hearing from you. It shouldnât have taken me a week to find your...
Read moreNot sure of other people's experiences but I went in here for a coffee in-between train changes.(read end bit for coffee verdict) Firstly it looked clean and welcoming with a decent selection. Secondly the coffee they sell is lavazza for those coffee lovers. Okay so a small mocha was over 3 pounds which to be honest is a little bit more expensive than other places but you are paying for a name a proper barista and convenience of on station. The staff were polite and although they started closing off some areas and bringing tables in it didn't seem like an inconvenience to be there. Right do the coffee was genuinely one of the best I've ever had period. Dont know why but even my personal favourite of cafe Nero didn't come as close. So overall very satisfied. The name of the coffee lived up to it. Bear in mind food did seem a bit expensive but as I've said your paying for choice and convenience so don't be too hasty to give...
Read moreWe were glad to see this place after a dreadful journey to Crewe and luckily had time before our next train. It's not cheap, but not overly expensive either. The baguettes and breakfast rolls all looked good but we had brought our own lunch so just opted for 2 coffees, a croissant and a muffin which was about £14.
The flat white was very small - I think I'd go for a latte next time purely to get more coffee for my money! There is plenty of seating and it's not crammed in and kept clean. There is also a bar just off the café but that wasn't open as it was early morning - looked nice enough in there though and I'm sure we'd have been tempted in for a drink if it was later in the day. I must be getting old as I was amazed they were charging £1.49 for a tube of Polos!!! Decent place though...
