Absolutely terrible service! I ordered at the drive through and was asked to park in a parking bay to wait for my food. I waited 40 minutes as I could see that they were busy and appreciate the stress of how it must of been for all the staff in this hot weather. As it was taking such a long time I decided to go in and see what was happening. I went to the counter and spoke to a very rude girl who told me she couldnât find my car and shoved two bags in my face which I presumed was my order that had been sat there for god knows how long. I said to the girl that Iâm not taking the food and that I would like my food making again. She muttered something under her breath and stormed off. I could see she was complaining about me to her work colleagues and laughing about it as they were looking over at me. As I was waiting there was another customer that was having the same issue as me and he was explaining that they also told him that they couldnât find his car. She came back moments later and again shoved food bags in front of me and started to walk away. I was so shocked and said to her that a simple apology would of been nice! She then started shouting at me saying she couldnât find my car and itâs not her fault and turned her back to me and just stood there with her back towards me which was rather strange. Her manager came over and his attitude was equally appalling, he told me she isnât a child and heâs not going to make her apologies to me. I explained that thatâs not what I was after just a simple apology would of been nice instead of the attitude I got from her. He then sarcastically said well Iâll apologise for her, Iâm so sorry. I couldnât believe I was being treated like this after I was waiting 40 minutes for my food then expecting me to walk away with a cold order! They clearly need better procedures in place if they canât find a car in the parking bays that they provide for their waiting customers. The customer service is embarrassing!    Read moreI recently had the pleasure - or rather, the test of endurance - of stopping by the McDonaldâs at Lakeside Parkway for a quick breakfast. âQuickâ being the operative word, which I soon realised was not in this locations vocabulary. I was assigned to the second drive thru lane and told to âwait,â which I did, patiently⌠while watching three cars zoom past in the first lane like they were auditioning for âFast and Furious: Breakfast Rush.â
Eventually, my order was taken, and after what felt like enough time to compose an epic poem on patience, I received my meal. I had hoped that the extra wait time was them lovingly crafting my food to perfection. Unfortunately, my hash browns were more âcold potato disappointmentâ rather than âcrispy morning joyâ.
Now, I usually check my order, but this time I was lulled into a false sense of security by the tantalising smell of âalmostâ warm food. My mistake. I had treated myself to a toffee latte, an upgrade that set me back a whopping 30p (no need to alert my bank manager but stillâŚ). However, when I finally took a sip, it was just a regular latte with no hint of toffee. I know itâs just 30p, but I was hoping to spend the extra money to experience a small delight, not a grand letdown.
So, in summary: slow service, cold food, and a missing toffee latte that left me questioning where I went wrong in life to deserve such punishment. Should anyone else dare to venture here, Iâd advise managing your expectations - perhaps even lowering them significantly. In the future, Iâll pack a breakfast, or maybe just a blanket and pillow for the wait. Would I return? Perhaps - but only with low expectations and a thermos of my own...
   Read moreAfter driving from Barton upon Humber to your Lakesde McDonald's I got in the right hand queue to order,it seems the lot side took 6 orders compared the right which took 2 orders.placed my order,was asked if that was my complete order to which I replied yes thankyou.went to 1st window znd paid.went to 2nd window where she passed my drinks,I told her I ordered 4 drinks but they only gave me 3.i told her what I had ordered and it seemed they had missed one diet coke off and 2 fries.I asked if it was possible for them to give me the 2 fries and a diet coke and I would pay with the right amount of money.to which they said no and said I would have to drive around and get in the queue again to order or go into the restaurant and order these items in there.so I parked in the bay waiting for the food.went into the restaurant and ordered the 2 fries and 1 diet coke what I had already ordered but didn't get.got these items and went back to the car.my daughter the food hadn't come yet so waited.food came and was missing my chicken out of chicken select meal.so went to the window to tell them it was missing.they asked for my receipt which I didn't have due to the wind blowing it away.they refused to give me the chicken.was not happy after driving all that way to wait in the drive through for 20 mins then a further 10 minutes in the restaurant and still not get our complete meal.had one disappointed...
