Meat'N'Eat — Restaurant in England

The atmosphere was great. We went during the lunch time period 12-3pm. The menu had variety, which I liked. The Waitress was warm and friendly. She recommended the Special, as well as my son, because of the flavours. They didn't disappoint. The portion size was manageable. The rice was flavoured well. The salad was garnished with a good dressing. Coleslaw was a good size. The chicken was seasoned VERY well. It came with a drink too.

The Owner of Meat'N'Eat came in and spoke to us. He made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. During our visit, he came in a few times and smiled at us. I got the impression he is very hands on and enjoys serving people. That is a plus to me. It demonstrates, to me, his passion for good food and giving the people what they want too.

The restaurant area was clean. The tables were swiftly clean when someone left the table. The toilet area was clean and smelt fresh. There is nothing worst, in my opinion, than a toilet that isn't checked on a regular basis. To me, it shows a lack of hygiene from their part and a lack of care for their customers too.

I would certainly go back to Meat'N'Eat and recommend it to others.

So I have been here a few times. two of the occasions my food has been swimming in salt. I could not finish off my chips as they were so salty. The staff are rude and slow ( the female staff). In particular a youg lady with blonde hair who was smoking during her shift and catchin up on a conversation. When I asked to pay for my bill, as there was no one by the tills; she waited until she finished her cigerette. she was also scratching her hair and playing with her nose,and then was serving food with uclean hands. There was only the cheff also a lady with blonde hair at the back cooking. I was waiting over 15mins to pay for my bill and had to even approach her to hurry as my parking ticket was running out. However, third time attending meat & eat there was a male workker possibly the owner. I do not know who made my food this time but it was great, and so was the service. This time i did not see the same female workers. Maybe the owner needs a word...

TERRIBLE FOOD!!

I’ve resisted getting food from here due to the pictures of food, my wife wanted us to go during a sunday stroll.

Firstly i gotta say the lady who served us was really unwelcoming, not the best vibe.

The food was a joke. In short the food is basically indian! I couldn’t believe it. The chicken strips look like breaded wings which were clearly made in an air fryer (if u have one u can tell instantly) whats worse is the description says chipotle butter milk but its clearly tastes like tika masala/tandori chicken.

Dont get me on the philly cheese stake n messy fries (pictured) the “sirloin strips” were drenched in tika masala!! the food was cold and cheesesteak served with a ciabata bun!!

both myself and my wife couldn’t finish our dishes as we just had to accept this was a lost cause.
