Merlins Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Came here for my birthday, I went to the buffet! WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT BOTHER!!!! The inside of the restraunt was dark, dirty and veryyyyy dusty on window sills and light. For a buffet I was expecting at least a few decent choices. But to only have 3 different curries 2 rice and onion bahjis... Come on. It was so poor and didn't have much flavour at all... I was so let down I didn't want to pay for my meal. I felt bad that the people I was with did pay for everyone.

Shame on merlin's actually charging people for such a poor service. It really did put a big downer on my birthday.

Edit we also all felt so awkward during our meal because it was SILENT we were the only people in the restaurant and the staff just stared at us! Thee was no music...

Really dissapointed with tonights service. Ordered a delivery via Just Eat which gave us an ETA of 8.40pm ( this was at 7.30)...so at 8.15pm we had a missed call, called back 3mins later to be told driver didnt know where he was going so hes heading back and sending someone else! (How in this day and age can they not use google maps??!!) So was told food will be about 15mins...it finally turns up at just gone 9pm. At this point due to the original missed call i knew my food was nearly an hour old...the mains were barely warm, the naan bread was stone cold so ended up having to microwave it all. Driver didnt even seem that bothered and showed no empathy when he showed up. Felt like the service from a new start up restaurant not an...

Went for a romantic meal on Saturday night, we didn't book but they managed to find us a table, right by the side of a large, loud + very drunk group of people. We weren't really greeted with much enthusiasm, but service was quick. We both ordered meals with king prawns and didn't bother with desert. Very average portion size and bland service, however the decor inside is lovely. When we got home, my husband started to feel unwell and by 2am, he was very ill with sickness and diarrhea. This continued until Monday morning and I too felt extremely unwell, with stomach cramps, fever, chills and nausea. Very disappointing indeed for a long standing restaurant like the Merlin. We've never had food poisoning before and will certainly...
