⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Outstanding Indian Dining Experience!**
Mevagissey Spice is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited in a long time. From the first bite to the last, every dish was packed with authentic flavors, perfect spice levels, and generous portions.
We tried a variety of dishes, including the chicken tikka (dry), mushroom pathia, chicken korma, and chicken & spinach balti—all of which were absolutely spot-on. The chicken tikka masala balti was a standout, rich and aromatic, paired perfectly with the mushroom rice and chicken tikka rice. Even the sides impressed—the garlic cheese naan and plain naan were fresh and delicious, though the keema naan was the only slight letdown (still decent, just not as memorable as the rest).
The spices were expertly balanced, the meats tender, and the sauces deeply flavorful without being overly heavy. Portion sizes were great, leaving us fully satisfied.
Service was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made for a relaxed meal. If you’re in Mevagissey and craving top-tier Indian cuisine, don’t miss this place—I’ll definitely be back!
Final Verdict: 10/10 for taste, quality, and value. A must-visit for...
Read moreThe food was average at best. Chicken was a quite dry. Restaurant lacked any atmosphere if sitting in. Avoid the children’s meals, just cremated chicken bites that you wouldn’t feed to a shark. The takeaway situation was where they really let themselves down. Takes ages - an hour + (on both occasions we’ve been here) and the last one they gave our order to someone else (which I’m sure they were stoked about as they got a lot of extra food) instead of offering an apology or a drink they just found it amusing & we had to start the lengthy processs all over again. It’s very chaotic, don’t know who has ordered & who is waiting for what. Something so simple really shouldn’t be this difficult, makes the whole process quite unpleasant. Do yourself a favour & just get fish & chips instead. Isn’t...
Read moreI think possibly a victim of their own success. The food was good and i think after their recent award, my expectations were very high and were not met. There was nothing wrong, but I was expecting something special. I wish I could honestly score higher for service. The young man who served us was fabulous. They were very busy at least 50 people dining all at the same time, and the poor chap was working alone. He worked very hard and certainly deserves the recognition. I guess it's a family run business, and I know recruitment is hard with very few people looking for work in such a hard environment, but he really needed the help. It's worth visiting if you're local, but dont go in...
