Horrible experience with the staff after very long wait. Sad to say our last couple hours in Mevagissey were tainted by the staff at this business. Ordered a couple juices and began what would be a 30 minute wait. Started off by being told they didn't have the ingredients and would need to get them. That's fine, sure they'd be quick about it. While waiting we ordered some food off their menu too to take with us. This came reasonably fast enough but in the mean time no juices. 20 minutes later and still no sign or communication, standing by their window in the hot sun with limited time left on holiday so we're keen to get on. Eventually a guy waiting closer is directly handed two juices the same as our order. Presuming the staff are keeping up with what's what and the guy recieving the order knows what he had we presume he must have ordered the same. The wait goes on and eventually one of the staff hands us an order. This was not what we ordered. Realising the other guy probably unknowngly accepted the wrong order from the staff and that we had been waiting longer than him we began to get disgruntled with their service, especially considering we had been dealt with by a different staff member each time and they clearly weren't communicating. Ten minutes more on and this time the manager finally finishes the order and by this point I felt compelled to complain as this had wasted so much of our time and would have much rather have been told they couldn't do it from the beginning. I asked to see the initial order ticket to show him the amount of time we waited. He would only show me the other gentleman's ticket (which was still 20 minutes late at this point) which we tried to politely point out that was the one they'd mistaken us for. We just wanted to be shown some token of apology, and working many years in the same industry and helping compensating people for bad service myself and along with good management it seemed perfectly reasonable to expect something for our time wasted. He got defensive, angry, and felt that pointing out we got our other order quickly was sufficient and that he 'doesnt even do refunds' or something along those lines. Plus apparently we had been told the juicer wasn't working properly which neither of us heard. Maybe they told the other customer seeing as they seemed to get confused between who's who so easily. Anyway he slammed some money down and proceeded to walk off barking abuse while I tried to just explain why we were so upset. He basically also said it was our own fault for not getting the first order off the other customer. How could we be sure he hadn't ordered the same thing? Sorry for expecting your staff to be competent enough to remember who they had kept waiting. All in all in a decade of being in hospitality I have never seen my managers treat a customer so bad for making them wait 30 minutes for a takeaway order. Places I have worked are happy to compensate for 10-15 minutes late on coffee, and never use the reasoning that 'your food came on time so why are you upset that you didn't get half your order till way later'. I am fine with being patient within considerable reason when eating out and never seek refunds or complaining, however this was unacceptable. Me and the family will keep coming back yearly to the other lovely shops in Mivagissey but this one we will avoid and warn others off from now on....

Stopped by for a quick drink at the end of a short visit to Mevagissey. It's a busy little café and creperie right on the harbourfront. The outside tables are a great place to relax and watch the boats and the activity along the quays. The café is bright and nicely decorated inside, with rustic wooden tables and cushions on the seats for extra comfort. Additional seating upstairs. Dogs are welcome. Some delicious-looking cakes on the counter, and a wide selection of baked treats on the menu, some of them decidedly French: crepes, galettes, brioches with unusual and tempting fillings! They also do traditional Cornish cream teas. Lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans. I only had time for a drink, but was spoilt for choice with the variety of speciality coffees, hot chocolate and milkshakes on offer! Decided on the strawberry milkshake with whipped cream. It was really good and so refreshing after a lot of walking! Staff were both polite and helpful. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Would love to come back here and try some of the food if I return...

With the sun shining we were very fortunate to get a prime position seat overlooking the harbour on the new tables located outside. Served by the owner she was ever so friendly, patiently answering all our questions about the delicious sounding menu; I plumped for the goats cheese on sour dough and I wasn't disappointed, the bread was very fresh, a drizzle of honey, a perfectly dressed side salad and some tasty crisps. The galletes looked delicious too. I think aside from the lovely food and location the nicest thing was the warm customer service, having someone so naturally friendly elevates standard to memorable, I would definitely return. (There is also more seating upstairs if it is full downstairs which...

With a prime location right next to the sea these place cannot go wrong. There are a few benches and tables opposite the door. You can eat in or take away. Queue up at one door, place the order and collect at the second door if you're taking out. If there are seats in the cafe, choose your table and order at the counter. I can recommend the largest of the hot chocolate options, and the cakes are extravagant on your taste buds. Service was fast and efficient, and they have alot of staff that are on it. Highly recommended !!

Visited last month with my parents whilst we were on holiday. Absolutely delicious crepes with vegan options (and those for non vegans too) ❀ staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful, recommending best combinations and special beers. My mum had an indulgent vegan biscoff crepe, and I had a strawberry with vegan ice cream and vegan squirty cream topping. Will definitely be going back if I'm in the area again! I was too eager to eat my food, I didn't get a photo!
