Absolutely wonderful little cafe, myself and my partner had breakfast here while staying in the area. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly lady who sat us down and took our order at the table. This lady (as we overheard her saying to some regulars) was the only member of staff working that day as it was the 2nd of January, so she was taking orders and cooking all the food - she was amazing! The food was delicious and very generous portions. I had the vegan breakfast and my partner had the scrambled eggs with salmon, both faultless and extremely tasty. The coffee was excellent too. Very reasonable prices and a lovely homely atmosphere, couldn't ask for more!

Absolutely brilliant cafe, Cornish Breakfast will feed you for the day, all food beautifully cooked and plenty on the plate. Cakes and sandwiches all made fresh and delicious by the propritess, crab sandwich is a must. The atmosphere is wonderful and very friendly and welcoming. Ate there everyday (except Wednesday, closed for a well deserved day at the beach). Thanks for the excellent food, banter and welcome, hope you enjoy your bottle of wine. Ken & Shirley from Warrington.

Visited The Lighthouse Cafe today on our day trip into Mevagissey. Beautiful little village and a lovely little cafe to visit to start the day! We ordered the Bacon, Brie & Cranberry Toastie. My partner had a Vanilla Latte and myself an orange juice. The toastie is one of the best I’ve had, packed full and great value! The 2 ladies there were friendly and welcoming. Would love to visit again if we’re back down in Cornwall on future holidays. Thank you😊

The most delicious vegan cream tea, run by the nicest ladies and such a wonderful little treat of a cafe!

We popped in earlier in the day to ask about their vegan cream tea and what time they close, they were super kind and recommended popping back a couple of hours later. When we did, the owners recognised us and welcomed us in, the cafe was empty at this point but quickly filled up again. This place is run by vegans so there are tonnes of great vegan/veggie options, and the traditional vegan cream tea is utterly delicious!

We had a lovely chat with the owners about being vegan in Cornwall and the best places to visit in the little harbour towns, they also know of many of the vegan restaurants around us in London, and even gave us tips for making their delicious home made scones ourselves. We couldn't have asked for a better experience here and can't wait to visit again the next time we're in...

While on holiday went in for a meal and I was really surprised 😮. I always enjoy scampi with chips and garden peas and this was what I chose from the menu and when it was brought to my table it not only looked fresh, amazing and good but it tasted fabulous, in fact I would go as far as saying the best I have ever had. It was not greasy it was very well cooked and very well presented. The service too was amazing as we were asked if there was anything else we wanted, and if the meal was OK. Another good thing about this cafe is that if you have your dog with you they can come in and sit under your table and are also made to feel welcome. So if you are visiting Mevagissey I would strongly recommend a visit to The Lighthouse Cafe you will be made...

Living locally, I have been meaning to have breakfast here for a while. The Lighthouse always appears to be busy and that is because the quality of the freshly cooked breakfast is simply outstanding and the service both very friendly and obliging. I went for the large full Cornish and added some hogs pudding with a flat white coffee. I was not disappointed... thick cut back bacon, delicious meaty sausages, fresh tomato along with beans, mushrooms and crisp hash brown potato. If I were being picky I would say that the hogs pudding slices were on the small side and I think that fried bread instead of toast would have made the plate perfect. I can only highly recommend the Lighthouse Cafe and very much look forward to...
