Unfortunately I have to change my review. Been back again a couple of times to eat in and few more times to take away and the quality is quite hit and miss. Lamb shawarma take away was quite small, despite ordered the large one and the meat was not great either. We had the shared menu sitting down and this was not like the first time. Finally a nice place in High Wycombe. This restaurant serves freshly prepared authentic Lebanese food. We had a mixed grill and a falafel wrap. The falafel was nice and rich of flavour. Freshly fried balls with pickles, salad and sauces. Quite balanced in taste. The mix grill was definitely the highlight of the meal. Meat was super tender and nicely spiced. Only comment would be about the portion sizes. I would have preferred more rice with the meat and slightly bigger skewers for the price. We tried the desserts and they were also very nice. Baklava were proper ones. Nutty, sweet and not flooded with sweer syrup. Will definitely go back...

Poor customer service. I made a £90 order including a couple of desserts. Mezza delivered one wrong dessert and completely missed the other. When I called to explain I was met with an argumentative manager who suggested that I might be lying and was "too busy" to appropriately deal with my request.

In the end I had to drive to Mezza House with my incorrect dessert to prove my case. At which point a very limited apology and no delivery fee refund was offered. It also turned out that the rice pudding I'd ordered wasn't even in stock, despite being available to order on the menu.

After some time, two phone calls and an evening drive, the restaurant did send me two Baklawa instead of the one I'd ordered.

Although the food was nice, as it always is, I didn't enjoy it as I spent a long time on the phone trying to resolve this issue while it was getting cold.

I have been a regular customer of Mezza House but this has somewhat spoiled that...

I had a meet up with a bunch of friends and by chance ended up at this restaurant as initially, we had plans to go somewhere else. It was a very pleasant surprise as we ended up having a feast and we all enjoyed our time at this Lebanese restaurant (run by actual Lebanese). The food was beautiful and freshly made, service was on the spot and welcoming. A friend who is a vegetarian had good options to choose from and enjoyed her falafels and grilled halloumi cheese meal. Overall, we had a fantastic time as a bunch- delicious food and very welcoming atmosphere- what more you could ask for :) Their meat selection plate is a must to try. I wish I would live closer and could be a regular at this eatery! Will be looking forward to visiting next time I’m in...

We always eat here when we come to High Wycombe. Having lived in the Middle East for a few years we really appreciate the quality of the food - as well as the very warm welcome from the Head Chef. We usually share a mixed platter which is always great - tender, moist and full of flavour and we often end up taking some home, even though we really do our best to get through it! And here's the kicker - if you like coffee - they do the best coffee in High Wycombe! But, you have to ask the chef to make you a Lebanese coffee - and he'll be happy to disappear out the back and make you one personally. (My tip: call him "habibi" (honourable friend/gentleman in Arabic!). Note: One word of warning, being authentic they don't serve alcohol, but their fresh juices are great.

Ate at this surprisingly good little restaurant yesterday whilst on a shopping trip in the town. The welcome and service received was friendly and helpful and the food was, in my opinion, superb. The Shish Taouk was delicious; the chicken lovely and tender and the salad clearly fresh and not some old or rehashed, soggy affair so often passed off with a meal. My partner had a Chicken Shawarma which she also very much enjoyed. The only minor negative was they only took cash 'today' which meant a quick trip to the cash machine next door - there was no mention of this when we arrived and ordered. Other than that, the food, atmosphere and service was all 5* and highly recommended. We will be back, I'm sure.
