I first found this place on a bus home from the train station. Today, I went there because I wanted to find out more about the dessert parlour, and mainly to spend some father-son time. Upon arrival, I see that the place's colour scheme is mainly purple and black and in the style of a 1950-60 American Diner, with some space outside for the summer season along with a vast (and I do mean vast) variety of ice creams, deserts, waffles and whatnot. We picked a table and got our menu's, (which they should regularly clean the leather to keep dirt and chocolate off) and we were presented with at least 12 pages of desserts and more, which entices a child of age seven to pick a dessert, only to come back saying "I can't decide!". After ordering at the counter and waited about 10-15 minutes, we got to pay after ordering a ridiculously low price of £14. Everything was cheap, and the most expensive dessert was a fondue for sharing. (About £19.50). Anyway, we got our desserts and we were taken by the beauty of not only the glasses they served our sundaes, but the shape and beauty if the food. I felt a hint of warmth at the bottom of our glass: the brownies. We then poured a shot of hot chocolate over our dessert and tried it, and we were both instantaneously addicted to their specialties. Before eating, we each took a photo and after eating both of us were full, as if we had both eaten a pizza. The desserts were so filling! Overall, I would definitely recommend this franchise for anyone with a sweet tooth or any fanatic...
Read moreHave been a few times to Treatz and on the whole has been okay. I mean, what can exactly go wrong with Ice Cream and generally sugared items. Unfortunately rudeness from staff and contempt for customers is something I feel needs mentioning. Went in the other day and the staff seemed less than enthusiastic to see us. Pretty much lounging around the place. Ordered desserts and drinks only for drinks to be taken down wrong resulting in overcharging. Once aware highlighted the fact only to be told "Ive already made it". Several shoulder shrugs and huffs and puffs later stated okay I'll give you back the difference. Pressed a buttons on card machine and refund sorted. Have since checked bank and no money returned. Honest mistake or just getting a dig in? Who knows. Then made a mistake with the large Sundaes ordered. Cream on instead if Ice Cream. Took the wrong orders back, scraped off the cream and splurged ice cream on. I would have imagined in some places they would have been made again.. short cuts no surprise. Ice cream fine but if you would like courteous staff, professionalism just nicking of your money, maybe avoid Treatz. 2 stars for...
Read moreThought we would try the High Wycombe branch on the August bank holiday Monday and I have to say I am very disappointed. It took at least 20 minutes for something to arrive which was both the adults deserts which we tried not to eat out of politeness to our children who were drooling over them but eventually had to start as they were melting. Ten minutes later the children's desserts arrived then another five minutes or so passed and the children got there drinks then after about 3 times of asking the waiter my husband and I got our drinks by which time two of us had actually finished eat. who wants their drinks once their food has been finished? we also had dirty cutlery and were shivering because the front door was wide open. then after all this we have to queue for the toilet because they have one toilet for changing babies, disabled, men and women. why only one in such a busy town centre?? all the waiter said was sorry the guy who reads the tickets is off today.....really? the worst £35 I've ever spent will never go to one of...
