I write this review based solely on our last visit. We visited about 8 days ago for drinks only. To be fair the bar was extremely busy - but there was space and we ordered a wine and a beer. After 45 minutes we had not received our drinks and so we asked. We were told they were coming. Another 15 minutes and we chased again and this time brought the drinks back from the bar ourselves. My husband didn't get the full beer he ordered it was finally mixed with an Italian lager as the Spanish lager ran out halfway through pouring; I was given a warm glass of white wine. When I went the the bar to ask for a small amount of ice - the female service -(in a somewhat irritated fashion) took my glass and put a full scoop of ice (as you would in a cocktail) in my glass - thus rendering the wine not drinkable. We understand that bars get busy - but there is no excuse for poor service and rudeness. If the staff had told us we wouldn't be able to get a drink for an hour - then we could have made other choices. Let’s start with the positives: Nice decor, lovely staff, good menu choices. I ordered the Smokey joe with fries on the side. #1 it’s suppose to have some spice. Couldn’t taste it. In fact the overall burger was rather bland but you could pick up a hint of the chorizo but that’s about it. #2 The portion size of the fries was too little. #3 the ketchup tasted like the very cheap kind and was served in this little tomato holder which is cute but doesn’t fit the environment. #4 I was asked to order on the app with my table number which was fine and worked well, but I was asked for a tip on ordering. That’s a big no no, you simply don’t ask for a tip before any service has been given. I am more than happy to tip and I usually do. But you don’t ask upfront.
In my opinion, the team here need to take a step back and think about the experience they want to deliver… cheap, upper/middle of the road casual, or upmarket/pricier. I think they can absolutely pull off mid to upper experiences with the prices they currently charge, but too many aspects...

Table of 4. Sat outside, waited for a few minutes then ordered drinks on the app. 10 minutes go by and we then ordered food on the app, tipping as we always do, even though we hadn’t seen a member of staff yet.
Our food arrived 15 minutes later, and we were then told that due to staff shortages it was a 30 minute wait for drinks. We were aghast. No one, not a single person had warned us of this when we turned up. No greeter or staff member to notify us of this. Barely an apology (a short very grumpy one).
I can’t blame them for being busy, but when you are so short on staff that the wait for a pint is over 30 minutes, people need to be warned before they order - especially when ordering online is the preferred method. It’s the handling of the situation which was embarrassingly poor. Wish I could have taken that tip back.
