We went last week and I asked 4 members of staff for milk in the coffee machine over the course of 15 mins in the end one of the food managers managed to get some for me and the other 7 customers behind me. We waited 30 mins for food (they were extremely busy so fair enough) when it came I pointed out that one of the dishes had avacado on it which we'd specifically asked not to have to be told oh well just pick it off... Erm not really the point but as it was just a preference and not a dietary requirement we did so. Went back again today for a second try. Started well as they moved two tables together as we are a family of 7. Went down hill after that food was brought out at 2 different intervals luckily the kids came first ( after waiting an hour surely they'd be able to at least bring it out together) Then 3/7 meals had mushrooms which again we'd specifically asked not to have on the plates (luckily again this is a preference not a dietary requirement we just dont like wasting food) but over all I would avoid if you have a food allergy or intolerance) heard a table 2 down from us send both theirs back due to dietary requirements so its obviously an issue. Which is a shame the food itself if nice enough and hot. Some of the staff also let the place down one woman in particular was rude to several customers then 1 staff member nearly knocked my 3 Yr old flying in an attempt to get into the kitchens before we walked across the door rather than either wait for 2 seconds as there was no one directly behind us or just...
Read moreGluten free (non coeliac) breakfast We get tired of looking for gluten free focused places and thought we would try these guys after struggling to find a park at a local cafe that likely offered a better quality coffee. We decided to just 'grab something' from this cafe but we're delighted to see a full English breakfast and smaller options for eat in. No specific gluten free menu but offered vegan and vegetarian options. However the staff were happy to look up the allergens on their menu Note to GF - no gluten free bread offered, all sausages contain gluten however the chef was happy to add another egg and some extra bits and pieces to make up for the sausage and bread. It was still a very full breakfast and filling. These guys were very busy but the ladies in the restaurant were so happy to help and doing a great job- considering. Line up at the till even if you want just coffee as this seemed to create confusion for some patrons and listen out for your table number. The coffee was pretty average, otherwise I would have given 5 stars but we also have a fussy, Australian palate for coffee and honestly didn't expect a lot from a supermarket cafe....
Read moreExtremely rude member of staff on shift, coming and loitering nearby with a cleaning trolley before extremely passive aggressively yelling at us that we have to get our food ourselves from the fridge in a very mean tone. Most of the food we ordered was not even available from the fridges so we just got different items of the same price instead in fear she would yell at us again, as she was clearly in a bad mood and taking it out on both customers and the aggression she put into the chairs she was moving/throwing to position
Reading other reviews they often point to one female member of staff being extremely rude with them. So clearly she has been like this for a long time...
