Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in England

I dont normally write reviews but feel I must on this occasion. We had driven for 3+ hours so were in need of a hearty Morrisons which we regularly have in ourl ocal cafe.

After ordering food I went to collect the cutlery but there were no forks so I waited until food was served and asked for 2 forks. None came so after eating a few chips with my hand I went to ask the other member of staff who pointes to the cutlery and said they are over there. I challenged this and she said rather loudly 'come on I will show you'. There were still no forks and she got quite stroppy and pulled some out from behind the table. My daughter ordered bangers and mash with extra gravy. This did not appear but when I asked why it had not been served, I was told there is no such thing as extra gravy even though I showed her the menu and the subsequent bill. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. The staff here are both incompetent and rude. I will not be going here again and I suggest you...

This morning [Tue 2nd Sep 2025) Me & my auntie visited Penrith Morrisons Cafeteria. As so often, I found terrific staff on duty - apparently only two people: 'Julia' & 'Helen'. Julia (I think it was) on the orders & payment was business-like but had time to make helpful suggestions and engage in polite banter. Helen (I think) in & out of the kitchen and helping deliver orders & collect leftover stuff from tables. She also, was very efficient ... yet friendly and chatty. I got the impression that Julia' & Helen, the only two members of staff present, were run off their feet and yet their great attitude means that I will regularly use this service and will continue to do so in future. Coffee, tea and bacon buns ... all good Well done to both crew- members. They are a real asset...

We called in the cafe at lunchtime today on our way home from Keswick ---the guy on the till should not be customer facing ---no customer service whatsoever ----he didn,t want to speak (not even to tell me how much I had to pay ) - no please or thank you .
