Mowbray Arms — Restaurant in England

Visited here today for lunch with my family… wish we hadn’t! Felt bad as the bar lady was in her own and doing EVERYTHING from serving, taking food orders, seating people etc. was super disappointed when our food arrived. Although my 2 young children enjoyed their chicken nuggets, chips and beans, my husband’s steak pie and my prawn sandwich were very disappointing and not good value for money. His portion was VERY small and my side salad and coleslaw was literally 1 mouthful of each (including the core of the lettuce!) when we asked for ketchup we were given 1 tiny pot between 4 of us. Started disappointed, gents toilet has a broken tap and no toilet roll holder (need to be a contortionist to reach it) but then.... a wee Scottish lady showed us something I've not seen since I moved to Thirsk 3 months ago... RAW FOOD! Me and my family walked into this pub because it looked traditional and thenmenu was to a great standard. Service was good and staff where friendly. I ordered the chicken strips and my wife ordered the beef burger. My chicken strips where raw! Cooked on the outside and raw in the inside. My wife's burger was like a 10p burger from the corner shop frozen section. It was disgusting! The staff was kind enough though and gave us free desserts.
