Mr Chips — Restaurant in England

Great early evening snack. Fresh cooked chips and a table to eat them on gets a big thumbs up. I heard from friends that since ex-mayor Williams days of ownership and selling Mr Chips that this place had gone downhill so I decided to give it a try rather than go over the road to the Galleon. I was not disappointed with the service and quality. What detracts 5 stars is the stream of deliveroo/ just eat drivers hovering around the counter like vultures and barging through customers waiting for their food. Would like to give half a star but won't let me, have been going here for the last couple of months and to start off with the food was really good the chicken meat was breast meat but the last couple of times the chicken has been very fatty, which shows it's not breast chicken, won't be going here again after this last experience where I brought chicken meat and chips and Donna meat and chips and had to throw it all in the bin as couldn't eat it as chicken was very fatty and the Donna meat was very spicy and also had gritty bits in, so there for you have lost...

Absolutely awful. I ordered haddock and chips and my husband had cod and chips. The chis could have been cooked a little longer as they were pale and hard. The batter was pale and soggy and raw and floury once opened. The fish itself although large was again uncooked. This meal only had one star because it was hot, although mine ended I in the bin. I would have returned it but we live 4miles outside Hereford and it would have meant driving back into town and finding a parking space. Needless to say I won’t...
