Careful with your bill, check it for sneakily added extras. I went for the set menu (starter, rice or naan, main dish and poppadoms). For main I chose a Biryani, which was the same price as any normal main on the menu. When the bill came they argued that because the dish contained rice, it counted as both main and rice, and by me also having a naan I had not qualified for the deal so they charged me an extra £5.25 for the starter as well as the lower-priced set meal option. Which makes no sense as by their strange logic the additional item was the naan not the more expensive starter. Was going to tip generously as until then service had been quite good, but not if they pull scams like this. They also tried to force an upgrade to king prawns for an extra £4, even though we had explicitly ordered the version without the upgrade. Seems like they try to squeeze an extra few quid out of each customer, making up any excuse they can to explain discrepancies if you notice them. Shame as I quite liked the food but won't go back to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went in to get a takeaway, and was glad as I would not choose to eat in here. The decor is very basic with cheap black and white tables with no cloths, or mats. Uncomfortable looking chairs, quite stark with an odd aroma. Also very noisy and loud. The staff, were excessive in their attentiveness, which although not as bad as being ignored, was still very annoying when we were deciding what to have, as we had not been there before and needed a good look at the menu. Eventually we ordered, and paid. We returned half an hour later to collect and take home. We were a bit hesitant about it once home, but the food had been recommended to us by a friend. We were glad they had. The food was lovely and delicious. Decent portions well cooked, moist and tasty. Best of all, not swimming in grease like from our usual takeaway. Would definitely recommend for a takeaway. But unsure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely fantastic experience tonight. Booked a table for 2 last minute, and it was very busy when we arrived, so we were offered a quieter place to eat in the restaurant which was very considerate.
Poppadoms, dips and chutneys came out first, then we ordered our starters of chicken shishlack, followed by mains of Chicken Bhuna, Jalfrezi, and 2 varieties of rice.
All of the food tasted incredible. Excellent service from the servers, and they couldn't do enough for us. It was such a wonderful taste bud experience. We were given complimentary fresh orange slices, hot face towels, and chocolate mints as we left.
It all came to under £40! Such wonderful value. I can't rate this restaurant higher than 5* but it's worth so much more. Do yourself a favour, visit them as soon as you have a spare evening. It's well worth the delightful...
