One Star - Appalling Service and Bizarre Behaviour My recent experience at Nando’s was truly disappointing, primarily due to the unbelievably unprofessional behaviour of the staff. While the food was mediocre at best, it was the service that left a truly sour taste. Upon ordering a Coca-Cola, I immediately noticed it was completely flat. I politely informed a staff member, expecting a quick replacement. Instead, I was met with disbelief. What followed was truly bizarre: the staff member proceeded to pour themselves a glass from the same machine, and then, incredibly, shared it amongst several other staff members, all while standing in my view, as if to conduct some sort of public taste test to "prove" me wrong. The sheer audacity of this display was astounding. Not only was my feedback dismissed, but I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable. The staff seemed more concerned with their own internal debate about the fizziness of the drink than with addressing a customer's concern. Needless to say, no replacement drink was offered, and the entire interaction was incredibly uncomfortable and insulting. Beyond this bizarre incident, the general demeanour of the staff was lackluster and inattentive. Getting their attention for anything was a task, and there was a distinct lack of care for the diners' experience. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at here to think twice. The combination of mediocre food and truly unprofessional, almost comical, staff behaviour makes for a thoroughly unpleasant experience. There are far better establishments in lakeside that value their customers and understand basic customer service. Avoid...
Read moreHi team Nandos,
Whilst there was a lack of staff on the shop floor and there where some who where literally working in "SLOW" motion oblivious to the food prepared on the counter and ready to go out to customers for one reason or another - Clear lack of organisation! (Time - 21.10ish - We left 21.45ish)
I just wanted to say thank you to the nice lady who bought our glasses on table 4:) Even though I gave feedback to the manager on shift directly, this simply is not enough!
I want to HIGHLIGHT the "EXCEPTIONAL" service we received from SEAN once again. Thank You so MUCH! For such a young man at the tender age of 16, you the team at the thurrock retail park Nandos are very fortunate and lucky to have such a fine young man working part of the team. Sean was extraordinary in the service he not just gave us but how engaging he was to everyone whilst we was dining in. He is a great brand ambassador not just for Nandos but a credit to the parents who raised him with such HUMAN QUALITIES👏
Sean was attentive, polite, humorous, friendly, courteous using his own initiative to get things done whilst some where in slow motion he was WORKING HIS BACKSIDE OFF radiating POSITIVE and BEAUTIFUL ENERGY FULL OF EMPATHETIC SPIRIT!!! I could carry on but will stop there. Once again a simple but loving "THANK YOU" to SEAN who made our visit "SPECIAL"❤️
Carry on with the same "SPECIAL SPIRIT" and human qualities you have! Your going places young man. From TABLE NUMBER 4
Ps. I don't write Google reviews but man you...
Read moreVery poor, and next to no service at all. Food was good nothing special but nothing to complain about. From the literal no welcome just asked table for 2 and seated then left, to no guidance what so ever on how to order or where anything was, to 1 menu between 2 people. If it wasn't for the menu we would have had no idea how to order, it was pure guess work where to get drinks from. Had to hunt down cutlery as being our first time we had no idea where anything was. The Waitress who brought over glasses 1 for the machine which we had no idea where it was as no guidance and one ginger beer, said nothing just placed the drinks in the wrong seats and left. The Waiter who brought food over was lovely enough to check the food was correct and was ok but would have been nice for him to direct us to cutlery when food was brought to the table. It's not rocket science to figure out, but being that it was not busy and plenty of staff were wandering around, a little effort would have gone a long way. We had never been before and were seated near the door at the front so these things were not within eyeline i don't usually get seated in a restaurant then start wandering around to see whats going on. Maybe I'm holding Nandos to a higher standard than to be expected is it more like a fast food outlet? Maybe we are just spoilt from the excellent service we receive at other local restaurants. Nevertheless it wouldn't entirely put me off now we've figured it out but I'm not really excited to ever have to go...
