Nando's Yeovil — Restaurant in England

Worst dinning experience ever. Never have I been so frustrated than I was today. Everything we wanted to order, they didn’t have. They don’t want to take your order, they want you to order by the app. My kids had an extra side of fries, but they did not get them. They said the extra portion was on the plate with the regular order. So if I would have divided the portion, there would have been about 8 fried per portion. After eating, we waited a long time for them to come back over to see if the kids wanted their ice cream. We ordered some more ice cream, but for some reason they did not want to take all the empty dirty plates away. We piled all the plates at the end of the table. The waitress came back with the desserts, she placed them on the table where all the dirty plates were stacked and then just walked off. We were speechless. I even took a photo of my kids and mother in law eating the desserts next to the stack of dirty plates. Never again will I go back, absolutely rubbish service by staff who have no idea. I went in and ordered take away for my wife and I on a Sunday evening and after what I would presume was a busy weekend as they usually are (having worked in the industry), was met with the smiliest, happiest looking staff you could imagine! Everyone was so friendly and upbeat and it instantly lifted my mood.

After making my order, I had to dash away for work and told them I would be back as soon as I could be as I know how this can complicate things and create a backlog if I’m not there to take my order. I returned after an hour, hoping I hadn’t inconvenienced them too much but instead was met by members of staff who were doing whatever they could to help me. They kept my meal warm, made us some fresh chips and threw in some extras for my work colleagues and my wife. The manager and all of the staff seemed to be on the same page and I only wish I’d had had a dine in experience as I bet it would’ve been...

The service just keeps getting better each visit. I must say that the exceptional staff within this particular Nando's is something Nando's should be proud of. The friendly and attentive nature of all staff is fantastic. On this visit a young chef names Joe stole the show. His attention to detail when preparing the single most delicious wings was thoroughly noted. He asked me how I wanted them and I got them BETTER! Joe went the extra mile and checked in on my from the kitchen, he really made me feel as though I was eating at a friend's house rather than just an establishment. So please make sure this young man is recognised for him fantastic behaviour and enthusiasm. Also extended to the fabulous job his peers and supervisors are doing. I look forward to my next...
