黑店一家
Totally dishonest. We looked at the menu outside the restaurant, we thought that the price is reasonable, so we came in and ask for a table for two. Once we opened the menu, we found that the prices are double of the one outside the restaurant and it's kind of comparable to the ones in central London. We asked the waitress, and she said that's a takeaway one (but there's no hint saying that's not a dine- in one, and normally people would put a dine- in one right outside the restaurant...?!). It's just a kind of cheating. As feel like being cheated, we just left the restaurant (halfly being kicked out by the waitress) (but thanks anyway, so that we won't waste anymore time there)
Tips: if you decide to go in, DO NOT order any drink in the first place (as they would try hard to make you order one) look at the menu and see if you are happy with the price for dine- in...
Read moreThe New Hong Kong is absolutely delicious, the food is always fresh and it's an extremely popular restaurant in Penzance. I've eaten at this place countless times and in my opinion, it's one of the best Chinese restaurants I've eaten at, not only for taste/freshness and quality but also value for money. I know we're in a pandemic at the moment and not sure if the buffet will ever reopen but if it does, I'd highly recommend. Although there's not tonnes of choice due to it being a small restaurant, they make up for this, again with the quality, taste, value etc. Anyway, if you're in Penzance and fancy a takeaway, you wont be disappointed in ordering from this lovely little gem! Oh, mine's a won ton soup, quick fried shredded chicken (delicious) and a Canton special fried rice, thanks...
Read moreI've been going here for years for family celebrations and date nights. Only ever had the all you can eat there and it's always amazingly yummy and I've always bee 100% satisfied. However.... the drink prices are RIDICULOUS. As a college student I can't afford to go out often as it is let alone pay a silly amount for just a cola. Also some of the staff are a little hit and miss. I've had take away once from them and had food poisoning (we believe it was the spring rolls or duck) which was odd because the food I'd had there in the restaurant had always been A*. So if you go here I recommended eat in only and not take away. If you can get past the one or two off staff members (one of which I beleive has left now) and the expensive drinks - the food...
