I went to smugglers den on Wednesday with my friend, we walked in and sat at a table within seconds we got the menus and we were then ready to order. As other people came in it became busier. Everyone was sat down and had their menus, me and my friend was waiting to be served but to our surprise the people who came in after us were being served before us! Me and my friend waited 47 minutes to be served. Just because we're teens doesn't mean we aren't a priority like adults. When we were waiting to be severed the staff were just sitting around doing nothing but you could clearly see we were ready to order as we had our menus stacked up on the side. Eventually when the lady came to serve us she had then nerve to sit down On our table and right very slow. I am disgusted by this and hope it gets...

Visited as 2 adults and a 5 year old. We were seated very quickly and orders taken within 10 minutes of arriving even though is was quite busy. The decor is fantastic and our kid loved it! We each had a "hot dog" which was actually a proper cornish sausage (absolutely massive!) with fries and a side of mac and cheese. 3 meals, a side and 3 drinks, (one being a milkshake with added extras) was about £50 and we enjoyed all of it. We was there on holiday and came on a whim but if we are ever in the area again, we would return. The staff were friendly and attentive and we briefley saw who we assumed was the chef wearing a pirates hat! All in all a great experience and we couldn't fault it at all. Great staff, great food and...

First timer to smugglers, was a very good choice. Its a big place, with alot of tables, was busy, but not overly busy. There was a few tables spare. The pirate theme is really cool, lots of stuff to look at and creates a nice atmosphere.

The staff were really nice and welcoming. And really pleasant and helpful. The food was really good, i had the kraken burger (when i saw it heading to my table, i knew why they called it the kraken. Because it deffinetely looked like it would take me down :D lol) you really get youre moneys worth with that one. Went down a treat, but i did have to get rolled out of the restaurant lol.

All in all, great staff, good food and well recommended if you like burgers.

Thanks and will be...

Excited at first. Saw crab and lobster burger in the menu and when asked for it I was told they ran out. I then asked when it will be back and was told they don't know. Then I finally asked when was the last time it was served and the guy couldn't tell. It's not his fault but the owner should get rid of that from the menu if they don't serve it. That was my purpose when I got in, to enjoy a crab and lobster burger. Anyway, I then ordered a classic burger with cips and onion rings. Chips were way too thin for a burger meal and were getting cold and dry quick because of that. The onion rings on the other hand were great, huge portion and well cooked. I left somehow disappointed.

The Smugglers Den looks amazing with all the decorations. We had the Piri Piri Chicken with chips and the Jerk Chicken with pineapple and chips, a Filtered Coffee which my hubby didn't like much and he wasn't a fan of the Piri Piri either hence the 4 stars. We were happy with the food. Also had Onion rings and Homemade Coleslaw. Yummy 😋. My favourite was the Double Espresso Vanilla Milkshakes, my daughter added Daim to hers. We both had a Rum shot on ice each, Banana-Caramel and Banana-Coconut. Our male server tipped the tray serving the drinks, saved both our Rum shots but dropped hubbies coffee. He jokingly said the fumes of the alcohol made him tip the tray. Haha 😄
