North Bar — Restaurant in England

This place is almost flawless.

Interior is light, airy and made to feel spacious thanks to not overcrowding it with furniture. Decor is just right - on theme, but not pretentious. Good outdoor space as well (on street level).

I had tried North Brewing Co once before in a low-key Nottingham pub and fell in love with their New Atlantis IPA. This place has a great selection of their owns beers, with plenty of spirits and wines on offer as well.

The prices are what you would expect, and are clearly displayed on boards for you. Tasters are free. Cannot comment on food as I am yet to try it, but seems reasonably priced compared to the other venues in the same area.

What really sold this as 5/5 is the staff. The customer service was fantastic - you are made to feel at ease and welcome rather than intimidated by a new environment and broad selection. This place is obviously the beneficiary of good managers, as the staff seemed relaxed which really does make a big difference to the customer experience. Samples/tasters were actually encouraged, and provided for free.

North bar is great. We regularly meet friends and family there. We mostly visit during the day for coffees and hot chocolate. Quality coffee and experienced staff mean you can count on them for a consistently good coffee. There are some pastries and lite lunch options, too. I can't comment on them as I've not tried.

In terms of Beers, they take it really seriously and there is an impressive choice, all of which are small/micro brewery. I've never had a pint I didn't enjoy in North Bar. But expect to pay for that.

I love that there are some really comfy lounge chairs. Great if you just want to sit and be for a while. When they're not busy, they do tend to come and check if you'd like anything else so I've lost hours in those chairs 😀

Really disappointing visit today, we popped in for a bite to eat and drink before the Panto over the road. We were a party of seven, arrived at 1pm to be told there were no sandwiches left! Despite us seeing customers been served sandwiches the duration of our visit. We opted for a meat/cheese board, we told it would be a 30 minute wait, we agreed to wait. Unsure why as the place wasn't heaving??!! 30 minutes came and went as did a further ten minute's, we said we couldn't wait any longer so the food was put into brown paper bags for us to take away, they didnt charge us. but we would much rather have paid and be served in a timely fashion..
