Pizza Social — Restaurant in England

Fantastic place, from the atmosphere to the staff and quality of pizza. There aren’t many tables inside so you’ll want to ensure you have a reservation but from the moment we arrive the member of staff was superb, explaining the specials clearly and quickly serving the initial drinks. The menu isn’t huge but I like that, and each of the pizzas offered are more unique than your regular pizza place. The decor is great and fits with the “social” title and being able to watch the pizza making in progress is enjoyable.

The starter of dough sticks was served quickly and a good size to share between two people. The garlic butter was probably a bit too hard but otherwise it was delicious. The pizzas themselves were also really tasty - the ideal size and cooked perfectly. I went with the special which was a carbonara, and the creamy base worked well as an alternative to tomato, it was just a shame there wasn’t more meat added to the topping. The ‘truffle shuffle’ was also good, with the truffle not being overpowering. The sweet chilli dip actually had quite a pleasant kick to it, and the house dip was delicious. The portion of cherry ice cream as desert rounded everything off well.

Genuinely the absolute best tasting pizza in Harrogate, without a doubt. Their sourdough crust has an amazing taste and texture, with the most authentic tomatoe sauce in the area - I felt like I was back in Italy. They have some unique sauces that pack in the flavor, great for dipping crusts. The staff are very friendly and pleasant.

With that said, there's definitely some room for improvement. This place is REALLY hard to order takeaway from. They don't have an online ordering system, which in most cases would be fine, however it does them a major disservice since they "book out" of takeaway pizza frequently. I've tried ordering takeaways a total of 6 times over the past few months, during all different combinations of day & time, only successfully ordering twice. It's a very frustrating scenario because on one hand I absolutely adore their food, but on the other hand it's such a nuisance to call and frequently get denied that I find myself just looking elsewhere. Absolutely delicious pizza! What a treat! I came here for a friends gathering and it did not disappoint. I had the Truffle Shuffle and "Nduja Love Me" sharing with friends as we had to try as many as we could. They all tasted delicious, the flavour combinations were divine.

The place itself has such a great atmosphere. Sometimes you just sit somewhere enjoying food and drinks with friends and the atmosphere perfectly compliments your vibe. This is that place. I love the decor and the heart that has gone into this place, it is someone putting their passion into the food and wow does it show! A must visit!
