Absolutely Disappointed – Won’t Be Returning

I’ve been to this place many times before and never had a bad experience untill now! Looks like managements changed! What happened during my recent visit was completely unacceptable and has left a lasting negative impression.

I came in for lunch with my daughter, looking forward to a nice day out. Upon arrival, a lady seated us at a corner table. I politely asked to be moved to a table near the pier. Her response was unnecessarily rude and dismissive “We’re too busy!” said in an unkind tone that made us feel completely unwelcome. Thankfully, a second staff member came to take our order and was very kind and accommodating, moving us without issue. Her professionalism was the only redeeming part of the visit.

However, things got even worse as we were leaving. Just a few steps outside the restaurant, my daughter needed the toilet. I turned around and kindly asked if she could quickly use the restroom. That’s when John, a staff member, responded in the most shockingly rude and racist manner I’ve ever experienced in a hospitality setting. His exact words: “Once you’re out, you’re out,” delivered with aggression and an attitude that made it very clear we were not welcome all over a child needing the loo considering we only left it’s been 10 seconds after spending lunch in there restaurant . His tone and demeanor were offensive, and there were other unpleasant remarks that made it crystal clear this wasn’t just about policy, it was personal and discriminatory.

I told him I would not be returning. His response? “OK, don’t.”

Disgusting behaviour. No hospitality, no basic human decency, and absolutely no respect. I will never return and will be advising others to avoid this place altogether. No one should be...

I visited here for what I hoped would be a nice lunch overlooking the beach and the pier. The view is great, but the rest is awful. I waited 15 minutes before I finally went inside to see if I could get a menu and was told by a member of staff that someone would be out in a minute. 10 minutes later I went back inside to see what was going on and was told that they were sorry and someone would be straight out, which they were. I ordered a beer, which was eventually plonked on the table, and looked at the menu and waited and waited but nobody came. There were only 2 other tables with customers on, so it was not busy. I finished my beer with still nobody to ask me for my order, so I left.

To make matters worse, I stupidly the next morning, went back for breakfast, hoping that it was a poor day on their part, and plus the fact that the view is great. The same thing happened. I sat down and waited and waited, nobody came. I left after 20 minutes and said to the person behind the counter I'm leaving because I cannot get served. To which he said 'I know, I'm sorry'.

Terrible service. Great location....

Extremely sad to be treated how i was just now. Walked in for a drink, was welcomed to sit outside on the deck where other people were by one member of staff. Another young guy who was staff rushed up behind me and said to the waitress “manager said that its shut now” as i was walking to the deck. I said that people are there eating and he said “they were there before” and how “its gonna rain ” with a shrugging attitude and walking away. I said i literally just want a drink and he responded adding “I was suppose to get to you before you came in but I didn’t reach fast enough” and then again walking off / back turned “its nothing personal”. I left but 25-30minutes later the same people are sitting down still and all i wanted was just a drink.
