Peking Garden Wilmslow — Restaurant in England

Very disappointed. The place looks good from the outside, but unfortunately from the start, there was no hospitality. We were taken to a booked table, and they moved very rapidly. The table was not set, ie missing plates , cutlery and napkins. It took us 3 times of asking and 15 minutes later to rectify this. I felt as though some form of racism existed here, as we certainly appeared to be treated disrespectfully, and with disdain by staff, as compared to others who were seated during our time here. Staff abruptly dropped plates, cutlery on our table, making me feel I was some sort of inconvenience. One of our starters never made it to the table, and our sweet and sour chicken came sauce first and after 10 minutes the chicken arrived. I am not sure if this was an overworked and understaffed place, or they simply couldn’t be bothered to try to be hospitable. The food was alright, but how could we enjoy food in this atmosphere. We had a very bad experience in this restaurants we were given a table with nothing on, it was not set, we ordered but got the wrong food they did not even apologise, we had to wait at least an hour before we got the mail meal, the woman working in this restaurant was very rude, when the food was brought to the table we did not have knife or forks, had to ask for, it felt as though they did us a favour and finally when the bill arrived they charged us for the food we did not even order but more expensive they also added 10% extra to the bill for the service charge an absolute disaster, the atmosphere of this restaurants is not good and you do not feel comfortable , one of the worst Chinese I...

Excellent food and service. Everything was served piping hot and was absolutely delicious. Staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. Restaurant was quiet when we visited but it was only 6pm. Mixed starters were so tasty and the meat just fell off the ribs it was so tender. Crispy duck was delicious and our mains of King Prawn in Black Bean Sauce and sizzling Lamb with ginger and spring onion were so tasty. This restaurant deserves to do well. Highly recommend. Will definitely return when back...
