Now I don't like giving lower stars for small businesses, particularly after covid, but I feel this one is deserved and the only reason I am giving 2 is because the food is so good! But since we have started opening up from lockdown I feel that the customer service has fallen by the weigh side at Petit Delice, Wimlsow.
Not only do the staff suffer taking criticism (remembering the customer is always right!), they have failed to show a lack of empathy too, and I do not mean everyone as there have been some great staff here.
Over my last 2 visits, I have witnessed a homeless man refused food - not money, to the staff not accepting the goods we received weren't to standard. Rather than apologising or asking what was wrong, they refused to accept there was a problem and then gave us a replacement and then charged us for the full sandwich plus the replacement (later reduced I may add after a discussion).
It's such a shame as I love coming here and love the atmosphere, but the last 2 weeks have left a bitter taste and I'm afraid you have lost our custom. I am not the only one to feel this way, it is the general consensus when talking to people they feel the customer service it is a lot to be desired recently.
Please fix your customer service and have a little more empathy for everyone, if lockdown has taught us anything it is to be more grateful for life.

   Read moreYou CANNOT sit down whilst waiting on coffees. Not even outside when itâs quiet.
Wife dropped me off in Wilmslow to catch a train, we saw this place that thought weâd grab takeaway coffees and pastries on the way to the train station.
I was carrying two big bags and getting in everyoneâs way, so I took the pastries outside and left my wife inside waiting on the coffees. Outside I put my bags down, sat down at one of the small tables outside (which were all unoccupied apart from one), and had a quick nibble of one of the pastries.
My wife emerged moments later saying the the man serving us had confronted her accusing her of lying about saying we wanted take out, and telling her weâd now have to pay more! She replied that we were still waiting on our take out coffees and had no intention to sit in. He returned that we were not allowed to sit down anywhere.
Left us with a very sour taste in our mouth, which was a shame as the coffee and pastries were delicious.
Thereâs never a need to be rude and accusatory to customers who have just spent money on expensive food and drink.
Good quality coffee and pasties, but quite pricey and tone deaf customer service....

Arrived. Found a table sat and waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually the waiter came and took our order. Just the three of us. Breakfast. Not difficult.
Mine arrived. Waited for the next. 5 minutes. Nothing. Identical order. Nope. Waiter again. Ah. Takes me the order again. Then another wait. Mine was going cold so tucked in. Poached eggs hard. Bacon over cooked. Toast like cardboard. Still no sign of other order. I finished and went to enquire. 5 minutes. No apology.
Waited some more. Enquiredagain. 5 minutes. It was 5 minutes 20 minutes ago. No apology.
10 minutes later the food arrived. Barely edible.
Called for the manager. He refused to come to the table. Instead we were presented with a bill. Which had errors. They tried to overcharge us.
We went to the manager who became rude and very very aggressive. Ordered us to pay and leave. We donât want your sort here his waiter chimed in.
