Pelicano Café in Brighton has become one of my favorite spots in town, and for all the right reasons. This charming café offers not just great coffee, but a warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps me coming back for more.
The first thing you notice when you walk into Pelicano is the friendly staff and the welcoming vibe. It's the kind of place where you feel instantly at home. Whether you're a regular or it's your first visit, they treat you like a valued guest.
Now, let's talk about the coffee. Pelicano takes their coffee seriously, and it shows in every cup. The baristas here are true artisans, and whether you prefer a classic latte or something more exotic, they've got you covered. The coffee is consistently excellent, and they offer a variety of beans to choose from, catering to different tastes.
But it's not just about the coffee. Pelicano also serves up a delicious selection of pastries and light bites. Their baked goods are a perfect accompaniment to that cup of joe, and I find myself indulging in their treats more often than I'd like to admit.
The cozy interior, with its eclectic decor and comfortable seating, makes it an ideal place to catch up with friends, get some work done, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a good book. Plus, they have outdoor seating for those sunny Brighton days.
In summary, Pelicano Café in Brighton is more than just a coffee shop; it's a community gathering spot with fantastic coffee, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for a delightful cafe experience...
Read moreWould love to rate higher but⊠The coffee is good, the baked goods are great, I like the service and the decor, the only issue (and itâs a big one) is that you can almost never get a seat. People set up with their laptops and stay for hours at a time, often leaving their possessions behind if they need to pop out, so the tables are always either full of people doing work (without beverages or with a single coffee they have been nursing for an hour) or tables are seemingly empty but have peopleâs laptops / bags / coats on them.
I should add that I am disabled and cannot safely or comfortably sit on high stools, which tend to be the only available seats (thinking of the couple at the front and the larger high table at the back).
Recently I went in to have a coffee and wait to meet someone. I managed to get a seat on a high stool at a table I shared with two people on laptops. I was there for almost 2 hours (waiting for friend and then having a coffee with them) and in that time only one person got up and left for good.
Itâs a big shame honestly, because if there were more seats available more often, I could see the cafe being a firm favourite.
I would love to see them implement a âno laptopsâ section on a couple of tables, as other cafes do, so those seats can be used by people who wish to use the cafe as a social...
Read moreLoveeeeee. Coffee is delicious, literally the only place I get coffee out from in the whole of Brighton. Cakes & pastries are a bit pricey, but theyâre HUGE and yummy so make up for the sting a bit. But the decor, vibe and overall atmosphere is the real beauty. Love the classic grunge/tattoo/alternative branding and styling, especially the tiger and neon. Shame about the Level location selling out and going all light green and poncey. Just looks like everywhere else now....
