Loud. We were there at around 7:30 pm and had requested a quiet table. Well - we got a table next to a really boisterous group and to have any conversation we had to shout or lean over and speak into each other's ears. And all their other tables were booked so they couldn't move us. So they loose a star for terrible ambience and inability to make it better for us. The great part about this place is that they make everything from scratch... So they can customise your meal to your exact preference. The minestrone soup was good. The foccasia fantastic. The portions generous. The spaghetti arrabiata was delicious. We had a ravioli which was pretty good as well. Salads were strictly ok. So why do they loose one more star? Well... The prices were a little too high for the ambience and quality of food. Still a great place to go to for a nice hearty meal of you happen to be in the area. Please book in advance... They may not be able to host you if you don't have a reservation. Our meal could have been much better if they didn't have such LOUD people or if they had not crammed so many tables together.

First time visiting Pino's and I'm very impressed. On arrival, we were immediately greeted and despite arriving 25 mins early, given our table. Our drinks order taken and we left to browse the menu, which offered a great selection of traditional favourites and more modern cuisine. All our dishes were served promptly and tasted so fresh. The swordfish steak was very, very good indeed and I highly recommend this particular dish! Throughout, the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful dinner, served in a family-run restaurant.

Family run Italian restaurant with proper home cooked food. I had great king prawns in an orange and chilli sauce followed by swordfish in a tomato, olive and caper sauce on green beans and covered in very crisp thin fries. I also stole some very creamy and alcoholic tiramisu from a fellow dinner. Also had at the table was breaded mushrooms, game ravioli, a delicious looking chicken wrapped in ham, plus a couple of other dishes I can't remember. All declared excellent and washed done with good Italian wine.

I had a horrific experience here on the 16th of July!

I was here to celebrate the day before my wedding and I had a really bad experience this is mainly down to the way I was treated which i will detail below!

Firstly I get to the restaurant and I am seated promptly which is great... However the person who took our order (the owner) was very moody and had a poor attitude he wasn't pleasant at all when taking the order and had an unprofessional approach no smile and didn't engage at all!

We decided to have the starter then order the main course but we couldn't fully enjoy this because the guy comes over and asks us what we want for our mains whilst we still are in the process of eating our starter abit rude I think!

Finally moments after eating our mains we were told we would have to move outside as they wanted to seat someone else I mean this isn't a problem but we had literally just finished our food and around us there were a few empty tables which for me was incredibly rude and completely disrespectful when we are paying customers in his restaurant and we were still up for dessert and more drinks. It was unpleasant and a terrible experience especially after being told how great it is here etc and how great the food was! That maybe but the customer service was absolutely horrific and I...

Sadly this restaurant appears not to honour bookings. I had booked a table for 4 for 8pm on 16/7/18. Due to traffic issues 1 member of my party was delayed, so we did not enter Pino's Restaurant till 8.08pm, to be greeted with the information that the guests on our designated table were about to pay their bill. We were left standing in a small area as there was nowhere to sit. 8.15pm we were told that the table was being set. 8.20pm it was that the table guests were about to pay their bill (again?). This was followed by 2 people walking in on spec, asked for a table & immediately lead past us to be shown to a table. Although there were only 2 of them & we were 4, it did feel a bit of an insult. It would have been more politically advantagous to Pino's to have asked the new guests to wait until we - who had booked in advance for 20+mins earlier - had been seated. At this point - 20+mins past our booked time - I decided to phone our favourite Indian Restaurant, The Palm at Froxfield, to enquire about a table & we left to eat at The Palm. As we live in Hungerford we will in future book at our Favorite Italian Restaurant in Newbury...
