Complaint for Friday 12th March 2021 at 8.30pm. I made my way into your store and was not greeted by anyone and completely ignored. The waitress then came over with 2 pizza boxes and still did not make any eye contact with me at this stage. Bemused, I explained to the lady that this was not my order. She then looked me up and down and said "But you are the Deliveroo driver and this is the only order we have for you". I was absolutely shell-shocked at the generalisation made by the lady. I can only assume it was due to the colour of my skin and my ethnic origin that she made such a generalisation.
I very kindly explained that I was a normal customer here to pick up my food order and I was not a Deliveroo driver. Rather than apologise to me, she proceeded to laugh directly in my face and then asked for my collection number. I was extremely surprised she seemed so blasƩ about her stereotypical attitude.
To make matters worse, I could hear her make her way to the back where the male chef was situated and I could hear them both loudly laughing as she portrayed the story to her colleague. At that moment in time, I did not think much of the situation as I was hungry and just wanted to leave.
Nonetheless, upon reflection as it has been playing on my mind. I am truly appalled and feel degraded for the way I was treated last night and it is a generalisation I have never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here about a week ago with a friend for lunch (about 1:30ish); it wasnt busy but not quiet, few families and kids. We where showed to a table straight away, and our server was very lovely, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (i have allergies). I ordered a Lasagna Classica from the O2 offer (2 mains for Ā£10 - please keep in mind if using an offer, tell your server BEFORE you get the bill), my friend ordered Leggera Padana, and a garlic bread to share. Well.......the very nice girl who brought the food checked about which of us had the allergies (š) and what those allergies were, BUT, unfortunately they had done 2x lasagna's instead of my friends order. They were very apologetic, and offered to make the correct order, but it would take 7-10min to make. As my friend was realy hungry, she decided to take the lasagna. We were then brought our garlic bread, which was tiny (just a tiny bit bigger then a palm size), but it was nice, not too oily or garlicy. The lasagna's themselves where just OK; thin, overcooked pasta sheets, more white sauce then bechamel, minimal tomato/ragu sauce, and overall, very bland, no real distinguishing difference in flavours (ASDA extra special beef lasagna is better). But, as i had the O2 offer, the staff where realy nice, and they were aware of my allergies the whole time(šš), i'd prob go back again; but maybe have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst Pizza Express we have ever been too. Do not visit this one. The service was shocking, we were served by a rude staff member who barely said two words to us, no manners and was clearly hating life working there. We always order the same meal every time so we knew what to expect. When the food arrived, one pizza was incredibly small and had hardly any toppings on. My low cal pizza comes with a salad in the middle. Usually itās a good ratio, this time however, I may as well have ordered a plate of rocked salad. There was just a sample of the pizza. I was starving. We also werenāt given a pizza cutter (which we usually always do), so had to ask for one and wait. We also noticed nobody else in the restaurant was offered one either and people were using their knives and struggling. We ordered dough balls, which were forgotten about, when we asked where they were, they then brought out the wrong ones (as we ordered pesto ones). We ate the food and left promptly to escape the hell. The restaurant was full of empty tables that hadnāt been cleaned. It was clear they were busy and didnāt have time to properly look after their customers. We will not be visiting Harrogate pizza express again. A real disappointment in comparison to our usual Lincoln branch with is...
