Pizza Hut Salisbury — Restaurant in England

I ordered a pizza for collection, via the website. It quoted a time of around 15 minutes. I drove to the Pizza Hut to collect my pizza for the collection time given. When I arrived there were 2 other customers already waiting and no sign of any staff on the counter. I rang the bell and still nobody came to assist me. This was for about 5 minutes. During this time there appears to be some kind of argument audible coming from the kitchen.

When someone did appear they gave a pizza to one of the other customers and then disappeared again without even acknowledging me. I rang the bell again and they came back after another 3-4 minutes, looked at me and simply said ‘yes?’ In a fairly aggressive manner. I said that I was collecting a pizza and gave my name. They shouted something into the kitchen and a reply was shouted back. This wasn’t in a language I speak, so I don’t know what was said, but following this they just said ‘no, not ready’ and walked off again.

Over the course of the next 5 minutes 2 delivery driver came in and were met and served immediately, with no delays. So it would appear that your collection places prioritise delivery over your own customers.

In the end I hat to wait an additional 20 minutes for my pizza, more than doubling the time given on the website. I get that this is an estimate and a couple of minutes difference is no big deal but to estimate it will be ready in 15 minutes and then to take 35 is quite a difference. No apology from the person who eventually gave it to me and not the experience I have previously had from this outlet.

In the past orders have always been ready on time, sometimes quicker than estimated. Has the franchise changed hands recently?

On top of that, honestly the pizza wasn’t great. The toppings were just piled in the middle and not really spread out to the edges, leaving a 2-3cm band of tomato sauce with nothing on it and because of the toppings being piled so thick in the middle, the dough was still a bit soft and not totally cooked. If I could give this place 0 stars that would be too many. If I was the owner and saw what I just have, some people would not be working here anymore. The manager is awful and very rude to customers.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced today. I was waiting to make an order whilst standing in the store and was interrupted several times so that someone else could be served and I just ended up walking out because I was stood for 10 minutes trying to order but it was never completed. Every single other person that came in whilst I was standing at the counter trying to order seemed to jump in front and get served first.

I had once had this place as I stars because it used to be worthy of that. Now it's a shambles.

The customer service and atmosphere is unbelievable I still cannot believe what just happened right in front of me.

If you was to leave this review a couple of years ago I would have not believed it and thought it was someone having a bad day. But now having it first hand is disgusting.

Avoid at all costs and I will never return here for food.

A pizza takeaway place has minimal tasks to complete for basic function… make food, deliver food

This is the second time in a week they have got the order completely wrong, forgotten to give me stuff, taken nearly 2 hours to deliver the food, ending up cold. So they fail the basic functions of a pizza delivery place.

Think it’s time you looked into the problem…

What went wrong:

Ordered hot honey Pepperoni, normal pepperoni arrived (this is the 2nd time in a row) No drink, no ice cream, no garlic crust pizza wasn’t cut, just tore to shreds Food was freezing cold Took nearly 2 hours to arrive The box with chicken in was open, no stickers used like they used too. Delivery tracking app said he was still on his way when he arrived

If you want a takeaway pizza, you’d be better off somewhere else. This place is a complete shambles and waste of time.
