Dined as a prebooked table of 14 this evening (2 week notice) no deposit required however the restaurant requested we preorder food due to table size.

Front of house staff are friendly enough however we were let down by the kitchen this evening.

Starter came after several mains had been served, thus refused.

I do not believe there was enough staff in the kitchen as several (including myself) finished our main courses before others had received their food as it took over 10 minutes to serve food.

There were three children at the table, two were provided food within a reasonable time however the third child had to wait until the other children and several adults had finished their meal by the time their own meal was delivered. This child was 5 and did not fully understand why their meal wasn't served at the same timr. Highly disappointing. In my opinion, children's meals should be prioritized and served together rather than leaving one child without food.

The pub did not appear overly busy during service with most patrons drinking only watching the football.

During service we were advised that they did not have several of the desserts which were pre-ordered. As a group we decided to cancel all desserts as this was not acceptable and went to Wetherspoon for dessert where we received prompt service.

We are unsure why tables must preorder food if after ordering, half the pre-ordered food is not available. No notice was provided to advise that one ordered main and 5 ordered desserts were not available.

Bar staff were not aware of the set menu advertised online and attempted to serve pints in glasses which were not large enough. This was however rectified on questioning.

I would happily revisit as a maximum party of 4, I would however avoid and not recommend for larger bookings as the kitchen clearly...

FALSE ADVERTISING AND VILE SERVICE‼️

I had booked a bottomless brunch table of 4 with a tiny dog and which I disclosed on booking.

Having been there multiple times with said dog, which has never been an issue before, we were appalled to have service refused after having been sat waiting for over 15 minutes.

I received daily emails reminding me of our booking but no notice of any issue with our dog. They claimed to have emailed me about it but continued to remind me about my booking, never bothering to call me in advance. Having traveled a distance for a birthday celebration we were left utterly disgusted by the rude and aggressive server who eventually graced us with her presence, only to refuse to take any orders and tell us that the chihuahua wasn’t welcome unless we ordered food and drink for her! They then said lunch could be served to us “if we got rid the dog” - encouraging us to leave our dog tied up outside in the scorching July sun!

The building was packed and extremely loud and our table had been shoved in a corner, it is clear they had overbooked and the staff were visibly upset and sweating behind the bar. I believe that they used the dog as an excuse to get rid of us to ease the workload.

Had they just said they’d overbooked, we would have been disappointed but understood. Instead we were given nonsensical reasoning to leave and our deposit was...

Terrible place to eat! Party of 4 adults and 5 kids. Went in at 11.30, ordered food and drinks. Nobody else in there. Half the meals came out, undercooked sausages and over cooked pizza. The pizza was sent back. Everyone finished their meals before most of the rest of us got our meals. The new pizza came back around the same time. One kids meal came with mash though chips was ordered, so that went back. Finally we all got our meals, but the kid who's meal went back got hers after the rest of us finished. We then asked about the ice cream that go with the kids meals. Was told you need to order them with your main! After a short discussion another staff member said the kids could have them. We then waited 40 minutes for them to be brought to the table. I asked to speak to the manager, but the lad didnt seem to be able to speak. He stood looking at me....I asked several times as I thought he either didnt understand or was a deaf mute, but apparently he could but didnt want to speak. Eventually he said the manager was too busy upstairs to come and see us. We had spent almost ÂŁ100 on 9 drinks and meals! Hospitality not a strong point there. Quality of food, rubbish. Quantity rubbish, a normal working man would need 2 meals to fill him, and the prices were expensive for...

Booked the bottomless brunch on Saturday with some friends and was greeted by a lovely waitress named Jess. She informed us that they didn’t have any Prosecco (my face dropped) so they wouldn’t be able to serve any Prosecco based cocktails but they could serve a glass of rose Prosecco instead (frown instantly turned upside down) 😂 My sister and friend ordered the stone baked pizza while I had a chicken burger. Food was lovely, the only complaint about my burger was it was a little on the over done side and the pizzas were partly burnt on the bottom. Aside from that, it was enjoyable. I initially dreaded booking here as I know people come here to watch the football but the menu really appealed to me, and there other groups of bottomless brunchers and someone had a birthday celebration so the atmosphere was very loud and vibrate which was fun. I would definitely book here again, thank you for a wonderful time.

We went to the Bridge Tap last week for a Bank Holiday family meal out, then two of us stayed on for the quiz, plus a few 2 for 1 cocktails. (Children not allowed to stay on beyond 8pm).The food was very good and decent sized portions of everything. Some of the bottled sauces in the condiment baskets need renewing and there were no teaspoons to be found! The quiz was really good, and although we did pretty well, but didn't win, we definitely didn't cheat. They need to add in a rule about phones being placed in the middle of the tables to deter googling the answers! The tables and the menus could have done with a bit of a clean up, as mentioned previously. The ladies toilets (upstairs) need some maintenance and also extra/spare toilet paper should be on display/topped up frequently. The staff were friendly and helpful though and we would definitely return.
