Pizza Jockeys — Restaurant in England

A little disappointing. Couldn’t book online (showing no availability) and nobody answering the phone but as it was nearby our holiday let we thought we’d walk out and see. Not many in when we arrived so quickly got seated also allowing our dog which is a nice touch. Food and drinks arrived quickly but from then on they just forgot about us. The restaurant filled and staff looked double busy but we wanted more drinks, our table clearing and deserts ordering but nobody came to see if we wanted any of that and we struggled to catch anyones eye so in the end we got up, paid on our way out and carried on our evening elsewhere. Ok for a quick tea but don’t plan your evening around being there all night, not that kind of...

I cannot endorse this place enough here, simply because it goes beyond all the pizza places I have visited. I have been to pizza express (lackluster) Dominoes (stodge) Rustico (they couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery let alone a pizza) Pizza Pilgrims even has competition!

Why I am saying this? Well comparison, PIZZA JOCKEYS was crisp edged, soft a little chewy, balanced deviant tomato sauce, and the toppings are precise (not scant not drowning) I had a BASIL FAWLTY added some chilli & rocket, oh and had some vegan mozerlla (added a richness to the pizza rather than a cheese taste, even better!) my goodness...salivating.

Retro 90s small pizza restaurant with 90s decor and music playing. Turned up without a booking, initially told there was space so we sat down but then told a mistake had been made and it was going to be half an hour. Which was fine, we just went for a drink elsewhere first. The menu was a great unique selection- I wanted to try it all! We ordered our food and were told it wouldn't be a long wait as they weren't busy. However we then were actually waiting about 45 minutes ? But the pizza was worth the wait, one of the best pizzas I've had- generously topped, not too sloppy, really flavoursome.
