the veg is only just cooked the meat is pointless (2 thin pieces of choice) there's a choice of 4... stuffing was tasteless along with the giant yorkshire pub that takes half yr plate up not allowing you to put much else on your plate! (I know my plate looks full but everything was piled on top of each other just so I could get abit of everything) also the guy cutting the meat needs some manners his face was like thunder and his general attitude was not good 🤔 I know cutting meat all day is probably boring BUT when you go for something to eat you don't need someone feeling like you've ruined there day? there was a group of 15 of us and everyone of them said about his mad face 😠? this guy needs a different job or a chill pill 👍 I'll never get the carvery again IF i ever return 😕

What can we say about Red Sails? We have so much to say, but we will try and keep it short. Gavin and the staff are brilliant. Due to our first venue cancelling our wedding, we had to find an alternative very quickly. We approached Red Sails and they were more than happy to help us. We discussed with Gavin what we would like and he was able to carry out every instruction. The staff were very attentive and discreet. They asked before they came in to clear away glasses etc. Everyone loved their carvery and my sister was really pleased because she was able to have a gluten free yorkie pud! Thank you to everyone for helping make our day relaxed, enjoyable and special. We will be back for another carvery. Thank you x x x

I've been after having a carvery for a while, and I wasn't disappointed. The Morretti went down like velvet, My fiance had the Mixed Grill but didn't get a chance to get a photo of that. I had the carvery, which was lush and totally defeated me. I had a bit of all the meats, and they were succulent and juicy. The yorky was crispy and delicious, the veggies were scrummy, carrots were my fave, and the pigs were delish. All finished off with some yummy gravy. All the staff were very helpful, professional and you felt you were in good hands. Special mention for Rosie and Scarlet, couldn't be more helpful and for Cory, Carvery maestro ...cheers folks for a lovely meal 😋

When we arrived it was rather busy but that's normally a good sign for a Sunday evening carvery - however we were not asked about intolerances or allergies and before we could ask the lady seating us they had disappeared. We couldn't get hold of any of the staff wondering around to ask either if there was a separate menu or something and the bar was extremely busy. We opted to go for two carvery's as the safest options - one vegetarian one normal, the vegetarian being the cauliflower cheese tart. When we were called up for our carverys we found the vegetables were nearly empty - annoyingly these were replenished about five minutes later (it would have been nice to have been told that they were about to be replaced). At the table we discovered our veg was very cold but the gravy did a good job at covering this up as there was again no one around and the bar was solo staffed and was busy. The meat (honey roasted ham) was actually very nice however it was let down by the vegetables and the rock hard stuffing. My partner's meal of cauliflower cheese tart was horrible - whilst she ate all the vegetables she couldn't stomach the tart, the pastry was very nice however the tart itself tasted like mushy going off eggs. She had eaten no more than a mouthful of it - we brought this up to the server at the end who collected our plates (we would have brought it up sooner but no one checked on us), she said she would talk to the chef and be back however upon returning to the area she never came back to us and started cleaning tables instead.

We were really disappointed with this trip. Only saving grace was the mash potato as apparently that was very good according...

Visited The Red Sails for carvery on Sunday June 1st with my husband and friend. My friend booked the table the day before for 1:30 as we were going to The Deep at 10am and wanted plenty of time to get around there in case it was busy. Well The Deep trip only lasted about an hour and after having a little walk around the old town we decided try head over to the pub, an hour before we had our table booked for. We were politely greeted at the door by the host to be shown to our table. It was busy but that was to be expected as it's the last day of half term for kids so there was a lot of families coming and going along with other customers. Overall, quite a nice atmosphere to arrive to! We ordered via the QR code that was well labeled on our table at number 25 and within 5 minutes a lady came with our drinks and a gentleman with our cutlery and how to go about getting our carvery as you don't get a ticket/paper receipt when ordering on the app. Well, the food was brilliant. Ben, the lad doing the meats and such was polite, cheerful and friendly, refreshing compared to other places we've eaten at recently. The full carvery station was so nicely presented and clean, fair play to the staff as I can only imagine how many spills they must end up cleaning up throughout the day! We were stuffed so didn't opt for dessert but that's definitely on the cards for our next visit! Thank you for a great lunch, can't...

We visited this establishment and ordered the Carvery meal, staff was friendly whilst ordering and whilst serving the food, The waitress came around whilst we was eating our meal's to ask if everything is satisfactory, unfortunately we explained No the food was cold and hard particular certain vegetables, waterey or greasy and was not finished due to this. Has customer's I feel a opinion can be left and not expected to be given a lecture from the manager how the food is cooked and how there was nothing wrong with the food as it had been tasted by himself, We paid for the meals and expected no replacement of food or cake offered free of charge , we did not expect a refund either, but I do feel a acceptence of how our food today was or even a apology would of been acceptable off the manager when he came to the table instead of being made to feel that we was in the wrong for daring to speak up and questioned in detail about everything we had tried. We will not visit again not just because of the food but also due to how you dealt with the situation, the manager seriously needs to approach customers better , I feel if it was 3 younger men sitting at the table instead of 3 middle aged women the confrontation by the manager to our table if any would of been different I dare to say! If I do receive response to my review left kindly refrain from responding with...
