Of the 6 restaurants we've been to in Cornwall over the past week, this was without question the best one.

Food wise, everything was on point from start to finish. The crab fritter was well balanced and clearly used good quality ingredients. The steak tartare with aioli was sublime, the pork with fennel had an excellent flavour combination and a good size portion of pork. The chocolate mousse dessert was exactly what you'd want from a chocolate mousse.

The restaurant is well presented and I loved watching the open kitchen.

Service was prompt and friendly, and they gave me the classic dessert with a sparkler and candle in it as it was my birthday, which was a nice touch.

The only thing I would say could be improved is the drinks menu. Unless you drink wine, the options are quite limited and the mocktail, the cider and the non alcoholic beer were all just okay, not particularly good.

However, overall it's a brilliant restaurant and I would...

Every time we go to Mine I mean to leave a review, as it is simply THE best restaurant in Falmouth and area…and we are locals. We are discerning now about going out to eat in restaurants near us, as, sadly, so many are geared up for the tourist trade, and are either ridiculously expensive or abandoned over the winter months. Mine is a delight, the food is superb, with a carefully curated small menu (always a good sign) and the food is cooked with care and flare right beside you. The produce is carefully chosen from local suppliers. The ambience is fantastic, a small, intimate tasteful room in a cobbled yard (with a funky bar next door!). The staff are delightful, and you actually feel you are in someone’s house as a guest (which is brilliant!) If you want generic, overpriced “coastal food”, or pretentious weirdly named tasting menus, go elsewhere but I worry that if you all come to Mine (as you should!) there won’t be enough room for us to...

What a great restaurant! Really really good food, the more I think about it, the more I realise how good it actually was, like genuinely outstanding food, creative, simple and full of flavour. The menu is small but packs a punch with its options, covering all your vegan/veggie and GF needs, producing such beautiful looking dishes. The chefs are loving and charming, down for a chat with any interested customers, and you can otherwise feel free to admire their work via the open pass. It gives the place a real sense of togetherness, especially considering how it only seats roughly 20. We had a slight issue with our server, treating a disagreement over what was ordered (including meat being handed to a vegetarian couple) with a little frustration, but other than that they were attentive and kind enough. If you’re debating going out in Falmouth, go because it’s lovely, but really consider ending the evening here with a top quality...

Absolutely lovely place for dinner. Came here with six friends and called ahead to say we would be a little late (taxi problems) and they were very considerate and polite. Ordered the crab fritters and they were delicious! Some of our party didnt like fish and even they liked the fritters. The beef shin starter was incredible, so tender and flavourful. For mains we had the hake and pork loin. The hake was flaky and cooked to perfection. The pork loin was incredible, lovely balance of flavours and meat to fat ratio, not too fatty at all. Overall it was an amazing meal, and we would 100% go back. The staff were friendly and so helpful with suggesting wines and drinks to pair with our meals. Its a bit pricey but for the food you get and the intimate experience its well worth it. Thanks everyone for a great night!
