My friend and I have enjoyed a cup of tea here in the past but unfortunately today (24th March) our decaf tea let it down. Our drinks could only be described as weak, tea-flavoured scalding hot water. The cost was £3, the price for a 'speciality' tea to go I believe, so I think decaf tea here is considered a 'speciality' tea (unless it was just a charging error). I don't know what went wrong today, perhaps our tea had been made by dunking one tea bag into two cardboard cups of hot water ... whoever was in charge of decaf tea-making today could do with retraining. We would have returned to the cafe to give feedback personally but we had walked quite a way before the drink had cooled down enough to take a sip and only then did we find it wasn't up to the standard it should have been, very disappointing and poor value for money. We dumped the drinks into the first...

Went here yesterday and the ice cream was fantastic. There was 3 young adults working there doing their best as it was a very sunny day, we didn't have to wait long at all, from nowhere an older guy in his late 50s, who also works there came into the take away ice cream booth and started to give the guys the hurry up, making them flustered, telling them to speed things up and that this wasn't good enough, I was shocked at this, they where serving ice cream, not saving lives, he was an out and out bully, those kids must of been 16/17 at best. I'll not be going back again and if that was my place I'd be furious of that guy and get shut of him, the frustrating thing was that there was no queue behind us so why the hurry up I'll never know. Call him out guys it will...

This place is a little Gem. We stayed in Harrogate for a couple of nights and we decided to go for a walk through the park where you can find this beautiful little place. We popped in for a couple of freshly made ham sandwiches and a couple of coffees to take out and while we were waiting for them I told the gentleman serving that the last time I came here I bought a tub of Rum and Raisan Ice Cream and it is by far the nicest ice cream I have tasted, the nice gentleman went and got me a tub and gave it to me for free. If you are in Harrogate and have time to kill you can not go wrong with going to the park and popping into this place. People are so nice and the sandwiches we ate were so...

Friendly service and great tasting ice cream. Shame they don't seem to do the special flavoured soft serve like their Ripley counterparts but the vanilla is delicious all the same. Update June 2022: Still great tasting ice cream, with lovely staff. Massive queue today goes to show how popular it is. Still a shame they don't do flavoured soft serve like the shop's Ripley based older sibling.

The setting and location is idyllic. Within Valley Gardens you couldn't ask for a better view. The cafe itself is small but very nice with a decent amount of seating. Unfortunately on this occasion I had a scone which was very dry and my Vanilla Latte wasn't very warm and lacked vanilla taste. But the staff are very friendly and plenty of choice of drinks, snacks and ice cream.
