SAY Doughnuts Bedford — Restaurant in England

As a guy from out of town (MK), who fancied a coffee before an appointment close by, this 'Golden Nugget' of a superb Coffee & Doughnut cafe REALLY ticked my boxes. Tiny which makes it cute, not busy so makes the service excellent and to top all this off, despite having something in common with 'SAY', I was in the fantastic company of Jack. Firstly the coffee & Doughnut (Pistachio & white chocolate) was to die for, really nice, but for me, the conversation with Jack made such a visit to Bedford so worth it, thinking about it, more refreshing & inspiring. My husband and I have been going to SAY every couple of weeks since we moved to Bedford about two years ago. The doughnuts just get better and better and as crazy at it sounds, we actually love that there is always a queue first thing in the morning - always a good sign! Best doughnuts I have ever had and I used to work for a doughnut shop in the states. I know my way around a good doughnut. The doughnuts are always soft. Not too sickening sweet. Just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee is lovely. Not bitter at all. Quite smooth. The shop is small though, so if you are looking for a nice sit down, you may not be in luck.
