Smashie's Chester — Restaurant in England

The place is a real hit or miss for me, the food is always the same and personally I like it. But the aspect that really annoys me is the service of delivery. I can’t talk much about the indoor experience but from delivery they aren’t consistent at all with timings. When I order it’s like gambling how long it’ll take for it to arrive, it either arrives in really quick time (usually under half an hour) or takes a ridiculously long time to arrive. Recently I ordered two burger meals and off the bat I received an email that it would be fifteen minutes later. I thought nothing of it and waited for it to arrive. So once the time passed by I checked for any updates, nothing, so I waited. Once half an hour had passed I called to ask where my order was and the man who answered the call told me in a harsh voice that it hadn't been started yet and they were very busy so I’d have to wait. Paid in advance over the phone Delivery quoted: 40mins-1 hr Actual Delivery 1hr 30mins Did not answer my call at 1hr after order.

Called from another number after a bit and when answered got told the typical response " Sorry we got busy".

I asked for my refund which was not responded to instead they apologised and offered to make up by: (i) adding extra to original order (ii) making the food fresh

When food turned up:

Food was cold. LIED that they made it fresh as order was delivered within 20mins of last call. BBQ Wings were chewy and extra cold. Nothing extra added to make up as promised.

Suggestion: When someone makes an order you already know your capacity & commitments. Please do not either take more orders if above your handling limit or just tell them when you can actually deliver so they can decide accordingly. As a result you do not have to lie & make...

Dreadful experience. I ordered my food for 9pm on just eat. Guy delivers it at 8pm to my hotel. I call the delivery guy and he says we'll get another one out to you in 30/40 mins.

30/40 mins later I phone delivery guy and he's phone is off! I call shop and he says I've got to wait ANOTHER 30/40 mins.

Now we are at 10:20pm and I've called the shop about 7 times. Eventually food gets to my hotel at 10:30pm and guess what happens when I get to my room?? They've given me the wrong order!!! Call shop again and he says there's nothing l can do. Contact just eat and they asked for a picture, which once sent, they gave me a refund for that part of the order. I didn't want to be eating my dinner at 11pm when I had meetings the next day!

It would help if the guys could speak English and actually read the orders properly that came through. I WILL NEVER BE ORDERING FROM THIS...
