Very nice friendly staff who were eager to help. It was a very busy August Bank as you can imagine but we were promptly shown to our table drinks and papadoom order were taken and served straight, however it did take us (2 adults and 4 children) to make our minds on what to order as there so much to choose from and they all seemed nice. We settled for onion bhaji, lamb chops, king prawn starter and Murgh tikka for starters and the kids demolished the lamb chops and King prawn like they hadn't eaten for a few days 🙈 onion bhaji were really nice as rather than give 2 big bhaji they gave 4 small one which were nice and crispy (we didn't take pictures of starters are like I said they were demolished within seconds) for main we chose lamb handi (lamb chops curry) stir fry chicken (bit like a jalfrezi) lamb tika biryani, prawn bhuna and chicken tika shashlick, mushroom rice, chips and of course their famous huge family naan. For drink we ordered 2 pints of coke, 2 pints lemonade and 2 appletizers and to be honest the lemonade and coke were flat but when we ordered it again later on(they seemed busy so didnt mentioned it to them) they were ok. We loved it so much that we took the left overs home with us. To end the night they gave us very hot hot towels and signature mint chocolate.

I really like the food here. I had jalfrezi, rice and chapatti and the usual starters of pickles & poppadoms. Mine was lamb jalfrezi, tender, spicy and plentiful. However, I was eating alone, and not offered another drink or asked if my meal was OK. Was quite busy so plenty of chatter, couldn't hear any background music if there was any. I thought the decor was getting a little tired but maybe they'll invest. I'd still happily return for the quality and flavour of the food. Remember your fav dish will be different at every restaurant. Well worth a visit, Update 25/8/24 - had a few visits here and I really enjoy the food. Full of flavour meat always tender. However I'm finding the interior decor & furnishings increasingly tatty and dirty. The glass mirrored panels near the windows are very grubby and we were seated next to a window looking at a large dollop of bird poo, flooring looks well worn out too. Ho hum

Disgustingly sweet Tandoori Butter Chicken. Also overwhelming tomato taste with an acidic quality. Truly awful dish. My wife had butter chicken with paneer which was miraculously even more sickly sweet than mine. My chicken was strange, some bits cooked ok and other bits were really firm and chewy. Not cooked in the tandoor as advertised but presented in weird strips. They've clearly spent some money on the place which looks the part. Sadly, the food is atrocious. Would never go back.

Night ruined by a very rude waiter.

Food was decent tonight but sadly our evening was completely spoilt by the behaviour of our waiter. Didn’t catch his name but he was a grey haired gentleman. He made zero effort to make us feel welcome and made it clear he was annoyed with us being there from the start. When asked if we were ready to order, I asked for a couple of minutes more to which he replied “I’ll come back in 20 minutes then shall I”… not sure who needs 20 minutes to choose their meal but I asked if he would just give us 5 minutes. He looked annoyed and I could already tell he had an attitude problem…We called him over to order after a few minutes and were met by his cold, arrogant demeanour. We ate our meal and once finished asked the same waiter if we could take the leftovers home. He angrily stacked all of the bowls of left overs on top of each other, meaning the dirty undersides of the bowls were sat in the dish beneath! Who wants that? When he finally brought the boxed up leftovers to the table, he dumped them in front of my partner and didn’t say a word. It’s so disappointing. We are locals to Barton Rouge in Chester and regularly drink in the pub next door. I’m afraid to say that we will not be returning. One of the younger members of staff was not surprised when we mentioned the lack of decency shown by his colleague. He described him as having a short fuse….we were in no way difficult and simply went in for a Christmas curry both in good spirits on arrival. As a business owner myself, I’d strongly advise the gentleman in question put a smile on his face for customers or is handed his P45 by management. He’ll only drive custom away, us being a...

Hi all, So I am sid and I am from Mumbai, I specially visit restaurants after reviewing it on Google, but experience here was a big failure, I ordered mix grill platter which comes with chicken and lamb, chicken was very poor and lamb was so hard and stiff I couldn't chew it. My second dish was a highly recommended exotic Balti if I am not wrong and the only part I liked was taste of gravy which I though it wil be hot but was sweet, chicken inside the gravy was super yukk...not marinated properly nor it was tender....just a frozen thick piece feels like removed from fridge n putten in gravy and tossed With some stupid spices. My 3rd dish was a prawns biryani and sorry but it was a pulav boiled with little little prawns in it. I order 4 dished total and the person took my order and went away. I was there with my wife who is a dentist by profession and obviously we thought after taking these orders he will serve us one by one hot but they gave us the entire order togher at once, upon asking how can we eat all together and the food will get cold by the time, the team don't even felt like asking if we need all togher or not as I thought it should be a common sense on hospitality service. And the very last thing I really hate this that these guys are from Bangladesh and they are running the restaurant by Indian name and this spoils the Indian food name. To be honest I don't recommend this place for any Indian foodies at all. And sorry for this harsh review but I felt this was...

I can’t say enough good things about this place! We visited Chester for the weekend and on our first night we just happened to stumble across the restaurant. It smelled absolutely amazing from outside so I went in and asked if they had any tables free for later in the evening. Absolutely fantastic, friendly service from the get go and they were able to accommodate us. When we came back they remembered us and welcomed us with a smile. We ordered a chicken karahi with some rice, nan and poppadoms. The service was very prompt, and again very friendly despite it being a very busy Friday night. The food then arrived. Hands down the best curry I’ve ever eaten. It was sensational. Everything about it was just fantastic, and at such a reasonable price! We loved it so much, that we booked a table again then and there for the very next night. They were again able to accommodate us despite being very busy. Service and quality of food was again absolutely amazing and didn’t suffer one bit, despite being even busier! And to top things off, the manager came over to us and thanked us for our custom and for coming two nights in a row, and offered us a drink of our choosing; a small gesture from their behalf but it really went a long way for us to be made to feel so welcomed and with a personalised service in such a busy establishment. Can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back when we visit...
