Red Chilli — Restaurant in Great Britain

Since opening, Red Chilli has been our go-to restaurant. We love Bengali & Indian food and despite only being a small restaurant and takeaway, Red Chilli is amazing. The food is always cooked perfectly - the meat is always tender; the sauces are full of flavour; the poppadoms are always fresh and crispy; the veg curries are tasty and just as good as the meat dishes and our friends and family have all said it's their favourite restaurant too. Red Chilli is the best value for money in the whole of the area - you get both good quality food at the best price. They also offer deliveries and they always arrive on time. There are always people sat in the restaurant and even just walking by, the food smells amazing too! We have sat in for food and the service was really quick which was ideal as some of our party turned up unexpected but they were still able to order their food and finish after we had started ours. The waiting staff were all very friendly, helpful and also quick to get orders through. We have always had wonderful experiences with Red Chilli and always look forward to our takeaways now.

While we understand that your restaurant was busy, that doesn’t excuse the rude and inattentive service we experienced.It was rude because we were ultimately forced to leave—not by choice, but because your staff was unwilling to be even slightly flexible. And it was inattentive because, despite being a small restaurant, we had to wait 20 minutes just to get someone's attention to place our order.If your policy is so crucial, it should’ve been communicated before we were asked to wait or when we were seated and handed menus. Had that happened, we would have gladly gone elsewhere—saving both your time and ours. Instead, we spent 25 minutes waiting for a table, and another 20 trying to get service, only to be met with rigidity and poor treatment.We even attempted to meet you halfway by adding another main dish and explaining that we were hungry and simply trying to make the best of the situation. Still, your staff made it clear they weren’t interested in understanding or accommodating. A lesson in hospitality wouldn’t go amiss for your team. And frankly, based on the tone of your response, it seems your customer service issues start from the top.
